15 Threads Every Newbie Should Read
 

Time for another MadMax "Let's Make A Resource Thread" Thread :D

Since we're constantly referring people to older threads in order to answer questions, I decided to pick out some informative threads for newbies to read on a range of topics (which are also some of the FAQ for newbies;). One reason these threads are great is that you get a range of opinions from a wide range of people in the biz.

You'll notice several of them are "rants" from LL/TGP owners, and these are especially valuable. You can learn a lot from a rant :D Some are recent/current, and some are a bit stale but still great reads. While a lot of these are "Link List" targeted, there's a ton of good info here.

That looks like a good list of topics, MadMax. I'm always up for learining some more stuff and minimizing my dumbassishness. I'm glad you posted the one about promoting sites to death. I was wondering about that since I'm currently only promoting 2 sites in the same niche at the moment. That and some other projects have lit the fire under my ass to diversify a bit. Thanks for digging that up!

GREAT idea Max, we should make a point to bump this thread regularly so that newbies always run across it and it doesnt get buried in the thread pile!

I totally agree. While I will probably never build a free site what I've learned from the knowledge and experiences from the professionals that give generously here can never be repaid. I know that my pathetic:D (inside joke that only one person might get) little blogs are much better and have more traffic with higher productivity because of you all and I thank you.

One more thing, pull up your fucking pants, the ass-kissing is over!
