I play on Stormscale when I do.. I'm a 35 Troll Shaman (Labraianna) and a 12 Undead Mage (Maggette)

I'm not going to even think of starting WoW :D I played EQ, Anarchy Online, DAC, and God knows what else... MMORPGS are evil.

Never tried them since I know once I do.... it's all over with.

I have always wanted to, but I am a addict, I have spent 20+ hours on the PC playing the Elder Scrolls series and now the Xbox and just when I break the habit the new one comes out this spring for the Xbox 360, so not only will I lose more time but also $400+ to buy a new system....

I used to play EQ, and have successfully held off on EQ2, for the same reasons mentioned above, though it's not easy. I'm only now, after a year of this biz, having some small amount of time for hobbies and such. If I start playing MMORPGs, it's all over. I agree with halfdeck. They are evil.

I abandoned WoW just about the same time I launched my paysite. I just can't stand to sit at the computer for entertainment after staring at it all day long! I was level 53 too, getting up there! I never really had a problem limiting my time on there, I just want to get away from my home office when I am done working for the day, not hang out in the exact same spot for my entertainment.

I was playing SWG for about 3 years now. Fully leveled the toon with millions of credits, houses, loot etc. I never bothered to by any of the expansion packs until back in NOV they came out with one that was going to allow my toon to do things I had only been able to do when the game first came out and then the company nerfed it under the pretense the toon profession was to dominate. After I bought the new pack all hell broke loose. 3 days later the company annouced it was releasing a new update that just fucked everything. Entire interface, combat structure, all changed. 30 professions were slimed down to 9 and my toon was fucked. All the shit I had worked for in the 3 years was just about useless. I got my yearly $$ back and so did many others. I don't think that game will be around much longer, as many of the veterans have left. You had people playing for 3 years trying to get Jedi only to make the level and then the company goes and changes things to the point where anyone can just re-spec the toon and have jedi. Thats just a slap in the face. I dont play that stuff anymore an never will again.. Thank Sony for almost ruining my love of SW..

Anarchy Online was before SWG but the same shit happened to me lol. I had a level 200 trader (back then that's as high as you could go) after hours of leveling then Funcom patches the game with nerf after nerf until the profession became a joke. My only regret is I felt too attached to the char to sell the account on Ebay.

I hear you. One of the things that drives me nuts is they will hold my toon for 6 months before they kill him off. I'm hopping things change in that time but from reading their boards it don't look so. But if it does I'll drop the money just to keep the toon going. Funny thing is I never really paid much when I logged on. I just walked the planets cause I was always impressed on what the coders were able to do. So vast and ever changing, it made exploring good for 1 or 2 hours.

Personally, I'm a City of Heroes/City of Villains Gal---and my heroines and villanesses are HOT. I've actually toyed with the idea of making a blog or free site around them...but Cryptic would shit a brick if they found out. :D

I played DAoC and they kept adding more stuff.. it got totally ridiculous..

It definitely is a time warp.. I logged into the game (I log in so I don't get kicked out of the guild for inactivity but I don't stay on b/c I don't have the time) and peeps were chatting about how it took them well over 12 hours to kill some mob... TWELVE HOURS?!?! Who the fuck has 12 hours to sit and PLAY ?? LOL I've *worked* for 24 hrs, but that kind of game play is crazy....

Oh Yeah, DAoC.. I kept thinking DAC for some reason :D I had a level 50 char on there, kept fighting this char named Fragile but after a few weeks, got bored and quit.

EQ was brutal like that. It took 4 hours just to make the xp bar grow by a pixel.
