Advice on Modelling Rates
 

Looking for some advice. Some of the girls on my escort site are willing to do porn shoots but they dont know for sure how much they should charge and I dont know for sure what I should offer.

Does anybody here have some recent experience or point me in the direction of somebody else in the First world (ie not a $2 a day cambodian hooker like my mother) who would know what the going rates are?

Thing is if I go the route of producing some or all of my own content then I dont want to get a reputation for ripping the girls off and neither do I want to pay over the odds.

Any ideas?

I have bought exclusive content and most people charge $150-250 per set when ordering a few sets at a time. I am not sure what the models are paid. From what I understand models have a minimum rate for the day or 3-4 hours for the photographers to get 5-6 shoots in or whatever they need.

Hardcore is of course a lot more for the model and you have to pay the male model then too.

I've found that model rates are regional. Montreal 'circut' girls don't get out of bed for less than $300, even if it's a pretty girl lingerie scene.
We usually shoot the unknowns, plucked from college campuses, and waitresses at local diners -lol. I tell them it starts @ $30 or $50/ hour, and goes up from there. Fortunately I can use the occasional non-nude scene, so it really is up to her comfort level. Depending on what is required, and the model's personal boundaries, it can go up to $150/hour (we don't generally shoot anything extreme though). Some other local producers will pay the girls a day rate of up to $1200- and those poor girls earn every dime the hard way|shocking|

I think you should look at the first few shoots as an investment to see what you can sell the work for.

Bottom line is it depends on what you can afford to pay and remain profitable. Pay too much you go broke, the girls have no work, pay too little without a good explanation the girls find out and you are left witha bad reputation.

I hear from UK shooters that "Magazine" quality girls are getting around 300 GBP a day as a minimum for solo girl. Girls good enough for Escort, Razzle will command less than girls good enough for Mayfair and Club.

Thanks 4 that. Problem I have is that the girls all know each other so if I fuck thefirst few shoots up from the cash point of view then it will be a case of 'one out all out' and a hookers union dispute!

Thanks 4 that info. It mostly confirms what one of the girls (who did some work for Nuts) said. Think I will just say at the moment I have no idea on prices and try to get the girls to sign up on a 50/50 profit sharing basis for the first shoot with each one. This could bite me in the Ass if one of them turns out to be in demand though.

I can be *very* persuasive. They are only people at the end of the day, just a bit tougher skinned than most and a lot of them are *very* lonely. So long as you dont hit on them for sex all the time I find they make great (and very loyal!) friends. Especially if you control part of their income...lol

The comments emmanuelle made about regional are definately true in the US, I'd expect that to hold true in the London area. Also you might look at the local 'adults' rags; those newspapers that advertise escorts and or adult alternative papers. See what other photographers are advertising for rates and if any of the local girls are advertising their modeling time for. And definately the college girl, new to modeling girl route is something not to ignore, even as emmanuelle said to start them out in lingerie and bikini shoots for starters so on the next photo shoot, those girls might be ok with going a bit further........

Thanks guys am sorted now. Done a swap - I build each of the girls their own custom 4 page site which they promote in exchange for the pics. My photographer friend 'spunkin' Duncan is on the same deal but I am throwing on one of my scripts so he can add pics and other stuff to his gallery. So for a couple of days of my time I should get a ton of shiny new content.

Nice thing is the girls are letting me put a banner ad of my own on the bottom of each of their pages as well....
