Do these movies play for you?

Thanks to fusker I had to block no referral traffic and now someone said that my movies aren't playing. I know this breaks Safari but I don't think anyone users that to do reviews and they seem to play in Firefox but I don't have a PC handy to test them in IE.

Do these movies play for everyone?
http://kinky-cleo.com/porn/foxyangel...eos/index.html

thanks :)

Useless 2006-01-13 09:58 PM

I got a media player codec error when trying them in IE.

I think you're just trying to make mohairsuit spin in his grave. |jackinthe

Cleo 2006-01-13 10:00 PM

Oh what the fuck :(
They are the same movies that I used in my TGP galleries the other day.

Cleo 2006-01-13 10:01 PM

OK, I allowed no referral again. Do they play now?

Lemmy 2006-01-13 10:03 PM

They play fine here, IE and WMP 10.

Useless 2006-01-13 10:06 PM

Yup, plenty of deep fucked dissolute priest action going on now.

Cleo 2006-01-13 10:09 PM

Fucking great :(
Disallowing no referral breaks IE with WMP. It breaks Safari too but I was hoping that all the Windows browsers would be ok with it.

Let the Fusker fuckers go back to sucking my BW.|banghead|

Cleo 2006-01-13 10:12 PM

Ok I'm going clubbing and will deal with Fusker tomorrow and try to find another way to deal with the fuckers.

MeatPounder 2006-01-13 10:58 PM

|haha Love your alt tags cleo :)
I fuck you long time
Wanner play?

MadMax 2006-01-14 12:43 AM

Playing fine with firefox/wmp 10 here :)

MadMax 2006-01-14 12:44 AM

Oh, by the way...

Cleo, your avatar offends me, as I'm sure it would offend many professional adult webmasters.

I would expect at least a deep throat shot out of you :D

Cleo 2006-01-14 01:53 AM

You are just upset because Angel has a bigger dick then you. :D

Cleo 2006-01-14 01:57 AM

So seeing as I have this thread started…

How are people dealing with blocking Fusker? Especially the no referral traffic.

Jel 2006-01-14 03:31 AM

I'm pretty dumb but I use wmv files which play ok, and manage to stop fuskers from hotlinking images, although I believe I'm kinda holding myself open to getting my movies hotlinked? I keep an eye on my stats and don't seem to have any movies hotlinked thus far (in fact I can pm you some pages with wmv files and see if you can hotlink them?) so either what I have works, or I've just been lucky so far.

Wazza 2006-01-14 03:55 AM

htaccess for pics
htaccess + javascript cookies for movies

Cleo 2006-01-14 08:50 AM

I know from previous threads that htaccess doesn't work with wmv files but does work with mpg files.

Trouble with Fusker is it sends no referral info most of the time so unless you have no referral blocked you are left wide open to it.
That would be this line in the htaccess.
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
This allows no referral. Removing this line stops site rippers, Fusker, and being able to bookmark a pic or mpg. It seems it also stops Windows uses using WMP from being able to view the movies since I guess IE+WMP sends no referral information.

Yes this will work but JavaScript and/or Cookies are banned at many places so it is not a solution.

My head hurts… |banghead|

Mr. Blue 2006-01-14 09:20 AM

I'm pretty sure there's not much you can do...htaccess is limited when it comes to movies files, etc.

Off the top of my head you could try a little reverse htaccess thinking. I'm not sure how practical this is, but you could upload movies to a seperate directory and block everyone from downloading, then create an accepted list of domains. If you submit to 50 LL, you add their names, plus all the major search engines. I don't think this is a practical solution to the problem though.

brb, let me ask this geek that works for me what he thinks can be done.

Umm, okay he's in some sort of post-chemical induced state....I'll ask him again once he looks alive again.

That might bother me if Angel didn't have a bigger dick than a WHOLE LOT of people :D

Cleo,

I wasn't aware that Fusker doesn't send the HTTP_REFER? Last time I checked a fusker site, it had "img src" to the pics, so a HTTP_REFER is sent, unless of cource the user has a firewall blocking it. But if you think a fusker site eats up a lot of bandwidth take a look at an asian hotlinking site : http://www.livefile.net/net_navi/link/index/mature . There is a hotlinked gallery with 5mb movies that has had 23K hits |dizzy|

IE+WMP does not send a HTTP_REFERER (empty), which you already know/found out and that is why you have to allow for the empty HTTP_REFERER. That is what many hotlinking sites exploit and that is why you have to use a hotlink protection script, that is not dependant on the HTTP_REFER.

Spam time : TrafficGuardian, in my sig, is my hotlink protection script, for both movies and pictures and all file types :)

Fusker does send the standard referrer info, or more correctly the users browser sends the info, Fusker has no control of that. The problem lies when IE passes the handling of the video file over to Windows Media Player. The HTTP_REFER data info isn't forwarded.

and that's why there is a ? in my response.

Cleo 2006-01-16 08:27 AM

When Fusker sends referral then my htaccess blocks it no problem but often referral info from Fusker is blocked and then my images or mpegs are served up since I have no referral allowed in my htaccess.

Then you can't use the HTTP_REFERER to validate if you are being hotlinked or not. You got 2 options :
1 ) use cookies ( js or other server side script )
2 ) get a hotlink protection script

If it is not for galleries, you can rename the files through some php cron job.

Cleo 2006-01-16 02:01 PM

|spam|
And if you had read the whole thread you would know why that is not an option.

Then again you didn't read the sig rules either so now you have been de-siged. :D
