Accounting 4 Webmasters?

Does anyone have a good accountant? I have left my FT job, and I will be depending on my website and linklist for major financial support. However, I think I would do better to have someone assist in helping me make this a real business. All this as regular cash income could be trouble in the future! I live in the Midwest, USA, so please assist if you can!

Your state's chapter of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants should have a directory. If the boy has CPA after his name, you should be in good hands

Thank You

Appreciate it! Did not know if there was anyone specializing in this end of the business before I used regular instate CPA.

Business is business - it's not like there's different tax forms for webmasters :)

You should get a book keeper to help you with day to day stuff as it's much cheaper, then get a really good accountant to prepare your taxes

I agree with the others about finding a good CPA. They will charge you, but it will more than likely pay for itself. I remember when I first started, I wasn't aware of the filing requirements as they related to quarterly estimated payments and took a beating. Not to mention all the deductions that I didn't claim...
