Is there anything more annoying?
Apart from those annoying people who start annoying 'is there anything more annoying' threads - than filling out an online form, be it for a purchase, signing up for a sponsor, etc. that when you have filled in the form, hand typing your email addy twice because the form won't allow you to copy and paste (increasing the likelihood of a typo) and hit the 'submit' button, you get to a page with 'you have made a typo you stupid fuck, please hit the back button and re-enter your info correctly' so you hit the back button and hey presto, a clean form appears you have to fill in again from scratch? I fucking hate that.
Then again my blood pressure skyrockets if I stand in a queue for more than 30 seconds, so maybe it's just me. |
I fucking hate that. By the way, that is caused by lazy fuckers not using POST for their forms, and they know it's going to do that, and they don't care. Fuckers.
|
They know? Damn... Fuckers!
|
I've decided not to join several sponsors because their signup forms pissed me off that way. I figure any relationship that starts that way can't end well.
|
! have to agree that is one of my pet peeves. If I have to redo their silly form more than once I'm usually gone. |pissed|

Agreed Surfn, I almost blew the sponsor out, but gave it another go, if it happened again I'd have moved on. In fact I almost bought a new pc yesterday, around $850 worth, but the online form/procedure sucked (was just a slow loader) so I fucked off. Result - I still have a PC, but that store doesn't have an extra 850 bucks :)

Little old ladies in the grocery line that never have their money ready |banghead| *and feel it necessary to pull out their coin purse and count out the entire purchase in dimes & quarters* |banghead| Slow Tellers at the bank Almost anyone who works in a Big Box Electronics Store (best buy, Circuit city etc) Drivers in XXXXX (fill in the city of choice) Grocery baggers that think they can put 3 - 2 liters in 1 little thin bag and get pissed when i say.. Anyone who still uses checks at stores.
Anyone who still uses checks and doesn't even consider pulling out their checkbook until their entire fucking order has been rung up. (And that's usually those old ladies, after they realize that they don't have enough dimes and quarters to pay with.) I was at the grocery store yesterday and some 'person' did that very thing. I caught myself saying "people still use those?" out loud. Get a goddamned debit card you fuckers! |
The doorbell or phone ringing just when you're about to unleash a torrent of spooge is more annoying... but only just...
And as an aside - dickheads who think that post codes have to have 5 digits should be taken out and beaten with a stick... |

My "other" favorite is paying with an EBT card..then holding up the line while they buy 2 cartons of ciggys with their money. |
I just want to know why many of the forms have a clear button right next to the submit button?
|
You know what would be nice? An Auto Fill Program for use when signing up to affiliate programs - especially CCBill ones - pops in your business name, SS or Tax ID number, etc.
Anyone want to modify the Google one for me? :D |

But, as grandpop used to say...any day above ground is a good day! Sooooo, fuck em all...I will prevail! Oh, that form thing is a real hide chapper though :D |

Shouldn't four characters be enough? I mean what are the odds that a machine will be able to correctly guess the security code anyway? Let's see! 36 chars (alphanumeric) * 36 * 36 * 36 == 36 ^ 4 == 1,679, 616 So 1: 1, 679,616! WHY is that not good enough for them? What are they protecting nuclear secrets? Six character security codes! Come on already! And if you are going to do obscured security codes that can hardly be read, perhaps it would be a good idea to avoid using a font where "1" and "l" look the same? Or maybe to forgo using those characters at all in your code in the first place? Why do we have to spend five minutes of our lives guessing because your billion dollar company is incompetant? If you have guys from MIT there, why can't they figure this out??!!!? :( |

I agree with all of you on the others. Since I live in Florida and shop at the geriatric grocery store I'd say the old people in line come in a close second. |
