Tour Page Suggestions

Hey,
Being new to the adult webmaster industry I was wondering peoples opinions of our tour page?

Are we giving the clients enough content to warrant joining?

Have any layouts or methods that have worked for you in the past?

Any suggestions (constructive ofc) would be great.

Thanks In Advance

The tour should be centered on the page I would think. You are offering content yes but it is isn't really clear what and how much. Make the tour links more evident on the index page as it looks busy and hard to navigate.

The site really looks more like an AVS than a paysite but it could sell.

I'd remove the pricing from the index page, let them get hard before reminding them that it's gonna cost them.

Maybe drop the email collector to the bottom of the page, it's too prominent. That real estate is too important for this.

Kill those giant ads at the bottom, or at least make them smaller.

Ramster is right, it's too busy, but certainly has potential. I like the pretty graphics. I think you just need to focus on the purpose of the page, rather than cram everything you're trying to sell onto it.

Good luck!

I agree with Ramster and Emmanuelle. Too busy and there's no reason to offer pricing on the first page. The images on the first page are nice but I'd like the 2 girls on the right to be a little more sharp and bigger. It's hard to say no to hot babes looking into your eyes.

Most Westerners read a page from top left to bottom right and that's were the mouse pointer ends up so I like to have the tour or next page button there.

Decide what the site will be and make that the main focus. Then add other things. Right now I think people are going to click your banners and never follow the tour.

Ditto all above, Moby and Ramster always know tours so their advice is golden!

Unless the majority of your traffic comes from the UK, I'd change the signup to $US. Nearly 50% of surfers come from the US. Also UK surfers are used to paying in dollars, US surfers are not used to paying in pounds. So you are more likely to get a UK surfer buying from a dollar priced site, than you are a US surfer buying from a pound priced site. Also, outside UK/US surfers are used to translating their own currency into dollars, but are not used to doing it to pounds, so many will not bother. Finally, whichever currency you are charging in, I would not use "approx" in your currency conversion, pick an amount that (financial disaster excluded) the price is not likely to go above, and use that (say something like "less than $29 monthly").

thanks for the replies so far....

Emmanuel, Moby do you run any sites currently, I could take a peek at?

Ramster 2006-02-01 08:20 AM

wildcats, take a look at any of the paysites inside http://www.nscash.com or http://www.naughtyniche.com/ or for that matter any paysite really. danni.com or swankonline.com

And ecchi made a good point. Change the amount to US dollars.

If the surfer can't work out what the site is at first glance, the chances are he'll back straight out, and at first glance most surfers would just misread that page altogether.

the links at the top look like a good idea but i would not host the price of the site from the main page... when i looked at your limo site or the clubs site i didnt see the price right away... but on the store i did... so is your adult site selling the content or providing the service of it... just my way of looking at it...

Thanks for the information, I have begun making changes. I will keep you posted on the outcome.

Thanks again

I think this new design has much more impact. Those 4 babes up top are eye catching to say the least. I also like the update area as it shows that someone is actually home.

I don't like the 2 banners to the right of the update. For my old eye balls that text in that block is a little small.

One of the first things that I did was look how to continue the tour and join. You might want to have a tour page link with something behind it but that's really my personal feeling and I could be off.

I also noticed that the Instant Acccess links while very pleasing to the eye don't stand out as they're the same font and decorations as the other text. You might want to play with that a little and see what hits you.

All in all, I think it's a much better design and is almost ready for beta.

I find that color selection is important. Also, many sponsors are using larger tours to show of their content. We kinda have to outsell the TGPs to get the sale!

Halfdeck 2006-02-16 08:35 PM

Wildcats, it's still not obvious what the site is about. Spell it out in bigger text. I see where you mention "Hi Rez images, Daily Babes (??), Video (?), Live Appearances" but the font is too small and the text says close to nothing. Post at least one sample video clip, and maybe one or two photos if you're feeling generous. "Daily Babes" ... you mean the site is updated every day? "Video"...how many hours of video? What kind of content (hardcore? softcore nudes? glamour girls/amatuer?). "Live Appearances"...what do you mean?

tigermom 2006-02-18 04:05 PM

I am not a tour expert, but I think you should find your unique selling point and push it to the front.

Also, not sure if you are looking for affilates now or in the future, but as a potential affiliate that email collection box right at the top is very annoying.

Pornwolf 2006-02-23 09:03 PM

The design is very nice but I can't tell what I would be paying for. I see a ton of price options but for what? Is it a casino? What is the site about.

You have to sell what you are offering on the inside as soon as the surfer lays eyes on the page. Not the second page. As it stands you will lose over half your clicks by the time they get to the second page.
