Latest reason that I've been declining a lot

Been seeing this a lot lately. :(

Right below the recips and above the enter link
"CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE FREE TOUR!"

Like on this site
http://www.cutewildgirls.com/freesit...sex/index.html

I was letting it slide but I've been getting a lot of feedback lately from my surfers off of my Report Bad Link with reason given as free site just leads to a paysite.

That is kinda on the deceptive side, dont blame the surfers. Or they have like three links after the recip, not always easy to figure out which is the right one.

i have reject that site the last time myself also, i declined lately for all i see, the sites which get submitted the last days are terrible....blind links, linked title to sponsor, the click here free tour thing, have one thumb linked to sponsor etc etc

Cleo 2006-01-31 12:14 PM

Yeah the same thing here.
I've been deleting a lot of partner accounts lately. :(

I have a handful of submitters that submit very nice sites and that with the sponsor hosted sites is really all I need these days.

stuveltje 2006-01-31 12:25 PM

i also found out a new group of names are submitting, i would say 2 or 3 new submitters start on one day ...oke but then about 15 to 20 new names who start to submit on the same day...no way:D

This is my freesite and really don't understand why You would define that as a blind link. The "Free Tour" link is in a table of it's own and the Enter link is the same size as the Enter link below. Maybe I should have mentioned the paysite a bit more. How should I do it diffrently to get it accepted?

snejk 2006-01-31 01:00 PM

I ment the "Free Tour" link is the same size as the Enter link... I was a bit to quick to push the Post button! :-/

SI 2006-01-31 02:28 PM

As far as "CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE FREE TOUR!" link located in separate table and text above says - "...TAKE THE FREE TOUR OF LESBIAN TRAINING!..." it looks like average adv block|huh

but the "free tour" link is more bold looking so its not the same size, i think its confusing , i would prefer not "click here" infront of that text and i would have put in the name of the paysite on that text link. But thats just me

I am border line on this. The tour is free. There are free trailers on the page. Clicking certain images gets you a signup page, but if you click the "view trailer" links. you get videos (more than 20 seconds long each).

The link is inside an ad area:

Quote:

FOR THE BEST WET AND MESSY PUSSY LICKING GIRL ON GIRL ACTION ON THE INTERNET TAKE THE FREE TOUR OF LESBIAN TRAINING! THESE HORNY GIRLS GET FILMED WHEN THEY PLEASE EACH OTHER WITH TOUNGES, FINGERS AND TOYS! SEE THEM DO DOUBLE DILDO PENETRATION, ASS MUNCHING, FINGER FUCKING SO MUCH MORE WITH THEIR WET PUSSIES!

CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE FREE TOUR!
I see nothing blind or misleading about this. The site name is listed in the ad, the ad is clearly in a box, and so on.

If "CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE FREE TOUR" was sitting by itself without any ad text around it, I might not like it. But in this context, it is clearly and obviously (to me anyway) an ad.

Ok, as this seem to be a borderline case and all of You seem to be seeing things diffrently it might not be something I should continue doing. I've just been trying diffrent approches lately and this might not be the way to go as it seems right now. :) I just don't want to risk anything as freesites are my main source of income.

Would You see things diffrently if it was above the recips area and without the "Click Here" in the link?

Maybe something like "Take the free tour of "?

Would it be ok to have "Click here to take the free tour" link on main and gallery pages?

Cleo 2006-01-31 03:35 PM

It is a combo of where it is placed and the fact that it stands out much more then the enter link.

I probably would not have a problem with it above the recips or down under the enter link.

I clicked on it myself by mistake. You pretty much grow to expect the enter link to be right under the recips.

snejk 2006-01-31 03:45 PM

Ok Cleo, I'll avoid this in the future and I hope this hasn't hurt my partner relationship with Cleo's Links. It's early morning here in Bangkok and I need to get my beautysleep now. :)

DangerDave 2006-01-31 04:09 PM

It's blind..
100% blind...

People need to wake up to the fact that:-

"something that could be blind"
or
"you have to ask if it's blind"
or
"if ONE person says its blind"

then its BLIND!

Using links like that will only give you bad ratios and piss surfers off

That site would never get listed at any place I review

Mr. Blue 2006-01-31 05:10 PM

Checking it, it did get listed on LOR, so I guess it's just a personal taste call. It seemed obviously like an ad to me, seperate box, the actual enter link for the freesite did have the freesite name in it, "Enter Girl on Girl Sex"

Ann Omness 2006-02-01 03:16 PM

I only do the reviews for sites that have been reported bad, but I've been deleting a lot of them for the same reason Cleo cited. If the design/wording/layout is such that a visitor is likely to click on the sponsor link by mistake, thinking it's the link to the free content before he finds the real link, it's gone.

Do you put them in the dumpster when you go & find food for your kids?

Very good thread.
Being a freesite builder, I will definitely take ALL this information and refer to it - after all, trusted reviewers are like GOLD - if they tell you a freesite is good, it will generate you income. If it sucks learn from it - its as simple as that. I won't profess to know everything but whenever I listen to reviewers like MML, MrYum, Cleo, DareuTwo and all the others I definitely SEE the difference.:D

stuveltje 2006-02-01 05:36 PM

every linksite has his own rules, now i have 3 bosses i review for...yeah yeah i am sucha whore, but all have different rules, one dont like this the other dont like that......(drives me nuts sometimes) i would say as an free site builder, keep track on which linksites you get listed and with what site and how you have your sponsor adds there, you dont have to change always how you make your site to please everyone, it just depends on what sites you want your free sites to get listed

Hi Cleo

I create sites for Women and I don't have a submitters account with you, but I would like to be able to submit to Cleo's Links. I did go to your register link and it said it's by invitation only now. What do I have to do to be invited.
