my first 4 free sites - would you list them
 

I practically completed 4 free sites after reading all tips. Still without pictures series so would you list them even so?

Black Sex
JapaneseMovies

Didn't look at all of them, but on the asian free site, on your galleries you are using sponser content -- which is fine by me -- but then you are advertising for different sponsers on the same page, which is generally a bad thing that goes against the sponsers terms of use policy. If you are using hknude images on a page, all your ads should be for hknudes.

You may try adding more text links instead of three banners, higher CTR, and maybe spread them through the pages.

20 pictures in two galleries should be ok for most link lists owners, there is no point in giving more away.

make you enter link stand out on the front page, it blends in with the other links, and put some text under those banners and space them out, and also make different templates as you build for the first month...

I would never promote a site like explicite that has that many traffic leaks off the front page.

I really dislike the colored CSS title tags on everything. It's unexepected and unnecessary.

The left aligned banners look crappy because one expects them to be centered. I also don't like to see them stacked that way.

The incomplete recip table needs to be centered. It too looks wrong due to the left alignment.

There is absolutely no reason to link to the ICRA. What's the point of that?

When you have thumbs on the main page which represent the individual galleries, they should be linked to their gallery. Don't make me search for that little text link to the gallery. I shouldn't have to read every word on the page to figure where the galleries are.

;) Centered elements look balanced, at the very least. If something is aligned to the right, it is obvious to all that it was done intentionally. When something is aligned to the left, it looks like the builder was lazy due to left-alignment being the default. If you have nothing to fill the space on the empty side of a table or cell, it will tend to look best centered.

Right aligned only makes sense if you're an arab.
Left aligned definitely makes sense. Just look at any major site with a lot of text. But many free sites doesn't have much text and should fit on 800x600 so they can look quite bad as left aligned.

lol....I just happen to check this thread out and see the one for us. There should be a link with that anchor for the index page, but should be the asian one for the 2nd link which should be for the Asian category. But as "Woman" mentioned, these are still samples (hopefully). By the way Woman, I noticed this one site has a gallery with pee content which is something we don't list at the directory.

Anyways, I would first say as UW mentioned, left aligned pages don't look that great and best to put it centered in the window. Plus any thumbs you do have in future sites, should always link to a bigger pic at least because most will be trying to click on them and if nothing happens, many will be disappointed.

Preacher also mentioned about different sponsors on the same page and I have to agree because most sponsors will not be happy with this. Generally the idea behind Gallery sites is to promote a certain site. If you are promoting your own content, then thats a different story.

Although I was able to locate the "Gallery" links, you might want to make these more prominent on the page because sites are built for, and around the gallery content.

On a more positive note, I will say though that the design concepts is different from the basic old templates I see often with others. I still say dare to be different because it offers something new. I personally don't mind the design attempts. A few more tweeks here and there and I would think you are good to go with building more sites.

I´m still working on the sites and have one question:
If I promote one site with sponsor conent can I place other sponsor banners on the index page - I mean only on the index site?

Probably best not to. The only way to do that is to offer something that is not content based (ie: another sponsors content site), or a link to a resource site, etc. But generally, when making a Sponsor promoted Gallery site, most prefer that it's only "their" content and banners.

I didn't say it looked good. I said that you could at least tell it was done on purpose. Whenever I see left aligned in a wide span, I assume they've left out the align="" attribute.

Yup, I'm seeing more and more free sites left aligned by default...looks like crap at higher resolutions :(
