Google rolls out new search infrastructure
|
looks like they just want to clean alot of spam from their DB , its actually good news, i dont see a reason why honest wembasters should worry about their ranking :)
|
It will no doubt take some adjustment. Pages deliberatly written to rank for a specific key phrase may or may not also be deemed spam.

UPDATE NOW (BD)
This has been going on for the last 3 months - not sure whythat article thinks its new "news" - and its definitely not behind the scenes - its been on live servers since early December - it adds around an additional 15 or so billion web pages to the index and is trying to fight the scrapers and 301/302 errors Googles been having (so far we havent seen a lot of effect but there are definitely some small improvements)
There are some datacenters that are being watched live 24 hrs a day for changes that always have this new index on them if youre interested - right now though we are seeing the update spread to all datacenters and Googles engineers' blog looks like they are announcing a true update so I would think you should start seeing big changes tonight! |
yeah linkster I just checked a few terms that I rank for and seen some movement so I checked the serps with the dance tool and there is one going on now...

Yep...Here's Googles engineers' blog if anyone wants to see his posts update & change at http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/
under "bigdaddy progress". |
Nothing exciting for me so far, except for what's showing up on one or two DCs. The results on BD still need lots of work.
