I think her argument is a little too angry and one sided for anyone to take it too seriously. She must have had a bad experience at some point to get that emotional about it though...

It never fails to amaze me how many people have such a breadth of the web that they can zero in on designs that have been copied and go "hey look this is just like that".

As for the site, I don't know I thought it was kinda clever. I have far more sympathy and acceptance for regular people who feel passionate enough about their views to put effort in and work to express them than I do politicians or organized groups. I'm usually hostile and suspicious of the latter... understanding of the former.

The problem with her site is that she has no real facts or research to back up her assertions. Sure, she's passionate, but it's all hot air. If you're going to present that viewpoint, do a bit more work to prove it.

For example - those cartoons making light of r*pe. Yes, they're offensive, but when were they published? Having a date on the cartoons doesn't make them less awful, but if they are from the 70s then you can at least say that they are a product of unenlightened times.

If, on the other hand, I were to find out they're from last year, then that's a whole other story and I think she has a legitimate point. Unfortunately she doesn't do that work. It's all emotion and broad, sweeping statements.

That's the thing, for anti-porn people everything is black and white, either/or. They think that all porn is the same.

Actually I think the reason our industry is constantly attacked is reasons like any 13 year old kid has access to unlimited frree porn 24/7 and that content has gone from "Behind the Green Door" to misogynistic crap like Facial Abuse.
