I think I may have gotten myself banned

I was submitting my second freesite today -
http://www.hottie-wives.com/horny-wife/

Submitted to all of the LL's in the recip table there and all went well, except for Wet Place for which I got a return message "banned". Not very encouraging lol.

Took me a while to figure out where I went wrong, because I figured the site was ok with most of the rules everywhere. Then I realized I'd been submitting with my gmail today and not with a regular email addy.

I solemnly promise from herein to use only my regular email of tigermom@arenaxxx.com. I just hate working with outlook, and have all my emails forwarded to my gmail, so I just tend to use my gmail right away.

My apologies for the mess, but how do I get out of this now? I only submitted one other freesite before that -
http://www.gay-hunks.org/outdoor-jacking-off/ and used an onsite email for that one (contact@gay-hunks.org). I've been told today I should keep my submissions on all the same email, so I'll be using tigermom@arenaxxx.com from now on.

Can someone please see if I'm banned on some mega ban list and if it's possible, please unban me? Should I re-submit to any of the LL's again? They are -
Adult List
Free Site XXX
GreenGuy's XXX Links
Hoes.com
SexySites.com
Jave's
Jay's XXX
Penisbot
Smut Gremlins
Netpond
TheRedCherry

And sorry about posting in the wrong thread earlier lol. I am not always such a klutz, only in the end of a very long day with a sick kid at home.

Just checked and don't see your domains or mail addy showing up on the big blacklist :)

Although, I'm not sure if WetPlace uses that list. Also worth noting is that PenisBot and WetPlace are the same ownership.

I took a peek at your site...and see a couple issues that may give you problems with listings.

Your entry page scrolls sideways at 800 wide...the rest of the site is fine.

Also, your navigation links are way too small...making them hard to find. That's an instant decline for a lot of reviewers.

Other than that, the site looks fine to me. And don't really see anything that would be a blacklisting offense. Unless you'd been submitting sites with these problems for a while...which isn't the case here. Perhaps a script hiccup at WetPlace?

Oh, hope your munchkin feels better soon :)

You are OK on FreeSiteXXX ....just waiting review...

possibly Wet Place bans gmails?

Should be ok with us ....I double checked and didn't see yours on our list. The thing with free emails (just like free hosting), is that many LL's wont' approve sites that uses these. Best Advice is to make sure you use an actual web host provider and use your domain's email for submissions. Reputable LL's won't sell or pass your emails on to 3rd parties without permission so don't worry about spam issues from them. (hopefully).

We are still considering informing webmasters not to use free emails, but the jury is still out on that decision. I have a feeling we will impliment this soon though.

Thank you! I did check again and again for sideways scrolling and I don't see any? I switch my monitor to 800 by 600 to check that, and it seems fine on my machine. Any other way for me to check? Just to be on the safe side I changed the position of a couple of recips there to try and get one narrower column, hope it helped.

I just made the navigation links more prominent too. I hope it's ok that fixed those things after submitting the sites?

Lesson learned here. Next freesite I am submitting on the forum first lol for review and feedbacks. Thanks guys for all the help!

Oh and Ron is doing much better, thank you for asking :). Had to get up at 1AM |yawn| to give him some more cough syrup but he was perfectly ok this morning so daddy just took them both to kindergarden. And now mommy will try and put another freesite together ;)

You can also try the tool on this site...

I don't think we have you blacklisted, but you can double check here:
http://bl.usefulscripts.com/blocked/

But if you used the gmail account when you submitted, we do have that blocked, so we didn't get any of those submits :(

tigermom 2006-02-15 09:22 AM

I see... do I just go ahead and re-submit that site with my "real" email? I got a "thank you for your submission" from most places. Only WetPlace displayed the "banned" message.

Greenguy 2006-02-15 09:44 AM

Yes, resubmit them :)

This part is not directed at you personally as much as it is a general statement: it does say in my rules to not use a free email account when you submit, so I pretty much assume that anyone that does use one didn't bother to read the rules, so I don't bother to tell them that they screwed up.

tigermom 2006-02-15 10:09 AM

I guess reading 12 long lists of rules can get confusing :o I read them all carefully before creating the sites, but I guess I should have refreshed my memory before submitting. Where the form specifcally said "no free email accounts" I did follow that.

I will re-submit the site now. Thank you :)

Looks like Simon posted a useful tool to check for side scroll...which by the way, I'm still getting side scroll on the index of that site :( Took a quick peek at the code...don't see anything obvious. It's about gotta be some cumulative effect overfilling a table or something.

I use Firefox for everything...the developer tools extension provides an option to resize pages...very handy tool for building/reviewing |thumb

Site navigation links are much more visible now...looking good in that respect.

Glad the lil munchkin is feeling better...gotta have energy to drive mom crazy after all :D

tigermom 2006-02-15 11:15 AM

I think Simon's tool (very nifty - thanks!) shows you the Explorer world view, which was without any side scrolling. Checked it on FF now and apprently I had to tweak something in the CSS to get this to work. I think all is fine now. Thank you!

I will be re-submitting the site tonight with the good email, after tucking in the little ones.

Yup...it's looking fine now |thumb

Oddly enough, I checked it with the tool Simon posted too (to make sure it wasn't just FF)...was getting the scroll there too. Oh well...glad it's fixed now...that's what counts :)
