Double Standards?
Since a link list stands a chance of earning a buck from listing a hosted free sites, should the rules for getting listed be different as compared to those from submitters?

I agree that they should meet the standards as well |thumb
Though I don't think they always have in the past. Yep Logan...the free sites game has gotten more complicated in the past few years. Largely this is due to the amount of absolute crap that gets submitted...or the outright cheats that have come out of the woodwork. The good news is that someone that has some smarts, can string together a coherent sentence (can ya tell that's one of my pet peevs? :D)...and is willing to work hard, certainly can make some coin in free sites. Especially with a resource like this site...there's a vast amount of knowledge in these forums...and a lot of folks happy to share that knowledge/experience :) |
Logan, since my reply to you had more to do with your free site than this thread I posted it over at http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=29084

I'll be the 1st to admit that greed does cloud my eyes & I do let some minor things slide on HFS's for one reason or another. But I do agree that yes, the HFS's the Link Lists are listing should comform to their rules so that the surfer is not confused.

WOW
That is so cool that you cleared it all up for me! I am very glad I came to this board!

Yes I agree that free sites should meet the rules. Otherwise you risk pissing off surfers with blind links, ect.
My comments above referred to 4 links on the gallery pages going to the sponsor and none of them blind. That isn't an issue. (I'd list a good submitter with 4 links instead of 3 if they were all clean links). |
