hard links questions same C class

When it comes to hard linking with your sites... Wondering is it bad to hard link to my sites if they are on the same Class C network of IPs?

Or does it just begin to look bad if all the hard links are from the C class?

|huh

Well, first, let me say once again that the term "hard links" comes from the TGP sector, is now over two years out of date, and really shouldn't be used when you are talking about search engine linking.

When the TGP sector got overcrowded and started looking to the search engines for traffic, the spiders didn't follow scripted links well, so the scripted trade links were placed in the top of the page and the "hard links" were placed at the bottom.

But in search engine work nearly all the links have always been straight html links, so the term "hardlink" is redundant.

As for the class c question goes, the answer is "it depends", with the addendum that, everything else being equal, most SE people would say that it's best to spread your links out over as many class c's as is practical. But some SE guys will tell you it doesn't matter.

Basically, it depends on how competitive your keywords are, and what quality of incoming links you can get.

I'm one of the guys who thinks it's better to spread your links out.
