alexa se (privacy issue)

this moring I searched for my site in alexa. it displays peoples address and phone number. but can you have that removed if you don't want it there?

RawAlex 2006-02-27 03:55 PM

Umm, have you done a whois on your domain recently?

Davevjr 2006-02-28 03:52 PM

thats not the point dude the average surfer won't do a whois search on any domain. they do however use search engines, and you can opt for privacy with godaddy.com if oyu pay extra.

RawAlex 2006-02-28 06:29 PM

yeah, and if you go privacy, you will have a hard time getting listed on many link sites and TGPs.

What exactly are you trying to hide?

Alex

Since you've just been rude as hell I should just ignore you, but I'll lead you by the hand to something you should have been able to find all by yourself.

Look at the bottom of the Alexa page listing your domain. There's a link to "Correct errors and omissions in this listing."

The stupidest fuck wasn't available, so I subbed for him.

Your domain requires valid whois infomation. Alexa got the information from your whois. Big fat fucking deal.

Scared to be in porn? Don't be in porn.

After all, you would just have to hang around with stupid fucks.

Davevjr, read the board for a few days, then look in the mirror and ask yourself: "Who's the stupidest fuck on the board."

Good luck getting your sites listed with a protected whois.

Is that what he meant? Inc = Incorporated?

Oh for the love of |buddy|

Let's see...just off the top of my head, I formed an S Corp because of the numerous tax breaks & retirement/pension options and the fact that if the company is sued, I will not loose my personal assets.

And my business address is my home address, so if I was hiding from someone, I think that my basement would have been a poor choice for the corporate offices :D

RawAlex 2006-03-01 11:11 PM

Actually, based on the current construction, the basement IS a poor choice!

:)
