.. and it free. The Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1 G5 Processor Plug-in update for Mac OS X is now available. This free plugin for Photoshop delivers performance enhancements for the new Mac G5 systems.

Too bad it doesn't come with a free G5, lol.

Actually as much as I would love a G5, I was actually playing with one today at CompUSA, I'm thinking of switching to a Powerbook so I may be stuck in G4 land.

Speaking of G5s, damn the one I was playing with screamed in Photoshop. It was just a single processor with only 1.5gigs of memory, but everything I did in Photoshop was instant. I also played around with Illustrator and loved how fast it felt, especially zooming in on complex gradients.

I love Comp usa everytime I go there I want to buy the crazy ass, wide screen monster looking Mac system, bad part is not sure I would have a clue how the hell to use it :)

I'm telling you it's pure evil, they priced the 17" PowerBook and the dual G5 tower at about the same price. I can't buy both, but I can't decide which way to go, decisions, decisions…

awww Go for the powerbook!! at least you could have the
"Cleo & Luna" road show to Vegas!!

Luna already has the 15" Titanium PowerBook so I can just use her's for free. :D

I've also thought of just getting myself the 15" iBook since it is so cheap and almost indestructible, but since it is only a G3 processor it really isn't good for anything but surfing and watching movies, but you can throw it in a backpack and even drop it without it breaking since it is designed for school kids. It also has other limitations like no PC slot and unlike the PowerBook it doesn't support using a 22" monitor as a second display, I really like working with two displays.

I could sell my desktop setup to one of the designers that I work with and that would be half the money for the 17" Powerbook, but I'm not sure if I would be happy with only a laptop. You can plug in a 22" monitor right into the Powerbook and have a two monitor setup just like how I use my desktop machine now and would be about the same speed as well.

Then again I could just do nothing and share Luna's PowerBook…
