Apparently the FCC is doing a little bit of pre-emptive censorship.

Interesting. I've seen 2 girls kissing on friends. Twice.

Recently a group is upset that the term "Bloody Hell" was used in a commercial that aired during Lost. I haven't seen much of Lost but what I did see involved guns, violence and kidnapping. Parents were upset that their children heard the phrase "Bloody Hell" while watching violence.

This country is heading in the wrong direction.

I remember the big Roseanne kiss a few years back on her show. It was huge news at the time.

Ramster, I guess that is why this is so weird. It is sort of like trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube. Girls kiss in real life, so why should they not kiss on TV? We don't arrest them in the streets, so why is it suddenly an issue as part of a TV show?

I am starting to get the feeling that the US is headed towards being a secular christian state.

RawAlex - the pendulum has already swung to the far right, in a year or so, it'll be closer to the middle, and in about 8-10 years it'll be off to the far left. History does repeat itself.

Yes it does and unfortunately the same thing has destroyed almost all of the great civilizations. We can only hope the pendulum swings back. If it doesn't history will repeat itself and our children will be learning Chinese in school while many will no longer be able to afford school.
