Firefox - GG problem, or just me?
 

Hi everyone, I tried submitting to GG, and SmutGrems through the FSW, but it kept timing out on me, so I was wondering if it was the application's browser. I tried submitting to GG through firefox and it just goes to a blank page. No confirm nor deny.

Is anyone else having troubles submitting to GG?

It's a know error with the script that does not have a solution. I have heard that if you keep trying it does sometimes work.

Is that when you submit through FF, FSW, or submitting in general? Thanks for the quick reply, gg!

Submitting in general. It has to do with the script timing out when it tries to reach your site for verification.

Been trying over and over with both IE and FF, still no luck, always timing out. Anyone else able to submit to GG and smut gremlins recently? Thanks!

Slow host? or internet congestion?

Ok I change host company to webair and now it's working :)

But my last two FS was not listed on gg :( could you tem me why?

Seems to me a slow host could be the problem. Timing But, I'm just another newb too, so don't take my word for it.

Btw, FF user here, and I've not had any problem with my sites. Greenies been posting most of my stuff so far. |thumb

Maybe it has something to do with my server timing out quicker than it should. Does it take awhile for yours to go through once you press submit, or is it pretty instant? I do remember like 2 years ago submitting was actually a little slower than the other ones, and i've switched hosts since, so maybe my new server is just timing out too quick.

Greenguy's submit form doesn't seem slow to me; not compared to a number of other places, at least. Not as fast as some other places with stripped down scripts, but... I wouldn't call it slow.

You gettin similar problems at other places? What would cause the timeout? Page not loading quick enough for greenguy's bot to check your site? Or could it be something else?

I submitted some sites a few weeks ago (when I made this thread) and only had problem with GG's, Smut Grems and one other. Every other script worked fine and loaded pretty quickly.

I submitted daily since the 19th and had no problem with either LOR, SG or Jay's.

It is not your hosting. I submitted with same host and domain for years. Then the LOR and SG forms started giving me errors too. I tried another domain and it works fine. My suggestion try another domain. :D
