Very stressful day yesterday. Nothing like threatening the biggest lawyer in our area to make friends. So, my Grandmothers house has been switched to her name with forged documents. The problem is, our family lawyer really is the biggest around. He built our local State Trooper's Barracks and donated it to them for instance.

So, unless something changes today, the house will be in my Grandmothers name and the tenant will be evicted in May. My grandmother is so sure it will be sold by May, she gave the eviction notice. So, if anyone is interested in buying a very old house in need of a foundation in Mohawk, NY, let me know, I would imagine you could get it for about $25k :) But, throw on another 5-10k for a new foundation.

Anyway, I will be here all day and have already started on the newsletter.

Jim you have more drama in your life than anyone I know. you should start a blog :D

I think I should put Mohawk on my list of places to check out. :)

One of the reasons to leave the Keys is that home prices have escalated out of control here. The average sales price for the first six months of 2005 for a home in the Middle Keys was $735,000. For Key West the average price was $953,000. And these are just regular houses, on small lots, most without direct open water access. (Then just try to get full insurance coverage for all wind/water damage.)

Seems like there are much better deals in Mohawk, even if you have to add a foundation here and there. The people down here are just crazy to be paying what they're paying right now. The bubble is going to burst here eventually, but in the meantime you have to have more than a few million if you want to play the real estate game here.

Oh well, back to slinging porn.

Remember the buyer that buys places like that. They may carry a mortgage only because they have better places for their money. They can write a check to pay off the house.

Right now, in an area east of us, houses sell in the multi millions. Realtors have said that as interest rates have risen, they haven't seen any drop in sales -- whereas realtors selling houses to the working man have said sales have dropped tremendously. In fact, if I recall one of the articles, most of the multi-million dollar homes on Manalapan don't even carry insurance -- and that's where Trump's Mara Lago is -- which he just put on the market for $125m.

Just got home. Had to get up at 5:30am to take my daughter to her dance competition for 6:15 which stated at 7am. Damn that is early. Got some running around to do this morning then back to normal later.

Why do "old" folks always think they know what is best for them?? Mohawk is a decent area pretty centrally located for a burb..even if they bought it for the land it would work out perhaps. Good luck with that, Jim. .. do you have a spare room to house your grandmother in once she realizes she can't live the rest of her life on 25K?

OMG i'm just sick.. i just saw on our local news that an 18 yr old mother was speeding down the highway, opened her window and tossed her 2 month old baby out. Police caught her in the parking lot of a strip club she works at. Guess she couldn't take the baby to work that day. |banghead|

Wanted to sleep in but the roar of chain saws outside my window, the chunking of ladders, and men on poles screaming to each other got me up for the day.

Still no Comcast modem but their trucks are all over my neighborhood and they are up on the poles.

Tree guy is working on tree number two and then I'm having him replace the part of the fence that caught fire. The two guys that are my next door neighbor are having him do their fence too plus he is trimming some trees for them as well.

Today would be a gym day but with all the stuff going on around my house and the fact that I'm really sore from the last workout I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow.

It's another warm beautiful day here today so maybe I'll go relax at my neighbor's pool this afternoon again.

I'm very happy to have a lot less drama in my life Jim. Good to hear you manged to get things aligned the way you wanted. :)

I have another 100+k of movie galleries to load into my new project. I already loaded 60k and it is boring as hell. It's at times like these I wish I had a staff for my adult business as well. Of course once I get this drudge work over with I'll be fine once again. :D

Well, I feel like a fucking schmuck this morning. I planned on going to my neighbor/friend/sometimes-boss' mother's funeral this morning, but I just found out that it was yesterday morning. I could've sworn they said it was going to be today.

Anyway, I'm just sitting here trying to harness my monkey mind so I can concentrate on a single project at a time. Honestly, none of my projects are all that grand, but I'm horrible at balancing them.

Good news! My wife finally took a pair of nail clippers out of hiding and I was able to do some clipping before I started looking like I was going for a Guiness record. The soft underbelly of my testes breathed a sigh of relief.

I don't think that you can buy a toolshed up here for 25K. My friends are all buying their first homes, 20 minutes out of town for $160k + with no grass, no driveway, and they have less sq footage than my apartment.

Going for my cancer treatment... it makes me so sick that I hardly can do anything else than rest and post on a few forums.

My monitor is freaking me out... the colors are more and more pinkish and dark and I am not able to calibrate it. Yes it was cheap and not an apple monitor and it is old... I hope I can fix it somehow or I am not able to do design etc. The only good thing is that the tgp script I am using has the built in retouch features, otherwise I'd be in even bigger trouble.

So now it is back to work / porn / making sites / trying to figure out why people aren't buying as much porn as before. Watching conversion ratios slowly slip higher and higher is sort of boring.
