Happy Friday

And a fine morning to all. For some reason, I am all cheared up today :) I think because I was forced to go our to buy furniture. We went to our favorite place that claims they have cheap prices. The same place we bought our bedroom and dining room (where delivery was a nightmare). So, the guy quotes me 3500 but tells me it will take 4 weeks. I tell the guy, I need a better price. He talks to his manager and says that they can deliver for free. Vickie and I write down the make and model numbers on the furniture and call our local store down the street. They tell me they can get everything but it has to be ordered. I hand the salesman his card and let him know we will not be back.

So, here I am expecting to have to pay more tree money than expected but to my surprise, the store down the street came in at 2700...800 less than the place that told me that they keep nothing in stock to keep prices low.

From now on, we go to the big store, pick out furniture, write down the numbers and will order from down the street.

So, a fine morning to you again.

Good Morning Folks |waves|

You really need to start a couple of blogs one for your daily life adventures, trials and tribulations, and one for the radio show |thumb

I'm busy here on the puter most of the day except when I go and do some yard work if it doesn't rain |violin|

Have a nice day/weekend with tidal waves of conversions for everyone |bananna|

SirMoby 2006-04-07 07:43 AM

I'd like to read to the Jim Security Cams Blog :) The other stuff gets a little scary at times :)

Unlike the rest of the country I'm hoping for rain. I got new gutters about 2 weeks ago and now I just want to see them in use.

terry 2006-04-07 07:51 AM

Good Morning Everyone.

A little chilly here this morning and rain is expected. They are also calling for some snow tonight.

On that note, have a great day!

Jim 2006-04-07 07:51 AM

My wife hates when I go shopping with her but she still forces me to go :) If I get the sense of being screwed, I kind of get out of hand. I got that from my father. I remember being embarrassed at many restaurants as a child :)

cd34 2006-04-07 07:55 AM

good morning.

late night, early morning...

(I forgot to hit Post 1:20 ago) :)

Fonz 2006-04-07 07:57 AM

Morning folks,

nothing worth mentioning happened yesterday evening or will probably happen today so I'm gonna keep this short.

Have a nice day all :)

Good Morrrrning all |waves|

Your morning posts are excellent, Jim. I second the blog idea!

Apart from the usual today, will be chatting to a designer, choosing a ll script, and shooting out to buy my dad some wine for his birthday on wednesday.

Have a good one all :)

Good Friday Before Good Friday Peoples |buddy|

Still not feeling 100%, but there's no way in hell I'm not going to the Sabres/Flyers game tonight - probably a preview of the 1st round of the NHL Playoffs |thumb

NFL schedules came out yesterday & the Bills have nothing but 1:00 PM Sunday games |banghead| Of course, we tend to have a horrendous amount of drunks at afternoon or night games, so maybe it's a good thing :D

I'll be here grinding away until the game.

Good morning world |waves|

I feel fortunate that nothing special is going on today.
Should be a nice time to get some work done. :)

SirMoby, I know exactly how you feel about the gutters. Had all new seamless ones added here about a month ago, and kept checking the forecasts for when I'd be able to see them "in action."

Morning..

I'm almost recovered from my silacon, airbrushed and over made up hang over. almost.

Spud has a science lab this morning ..figures they schedule it right before spring break to make sure no one slips out before 4pm today. Then i have an appointment to meet with a printer for my new 'exclusive' line of greeting cards thats gonna make me MILLIONS *insert evil laugh*..

This afternoon is a final trip through the world of wireless content providers seeking potd opps. |loony|

|waves| have a good one.

Cleo 2006-04-07 09:02 AM

Morning…
Up too early because one of my cats was kind enough to bring me breakfast in bed. Somehow lizard in bed just doesn't cut it for my idea of breakfast so I put the little guy go out the front door.

Tree guy replaced the burnt up fencing and finished trimming the other tree. He is coming back today to finish cleaning up my backyard. I have the biggest pile of tree trimmings ever in my front yard behind my hedge now that somehow has to be moved to the street for bulk trash pickup on the forth Monday of this month.

Comcast finally got my cable modem working but my speed is not what it was. The tech said that I still have lots of problems on my line but had no idea when they would be fixed. Going to call Comcast later today and bitch like hell. Going to order Vonage in the next day or so providing that my cable modem stays on.

Doing the gym today and probably not a lot else. Still shopping around for someone to do a small tattoo for me so maybe I go to a few more places. Will probably hit a club tonight see what kind of trouble I can find.

Another warm and sunny beautiful day here today.

I've four hours of sleep under my belt and I don't mind telling you, it's simply not going to do. This cocksucker needs his beauty snooze. I sense an extended nappy-nap in my near future. I find that I don't feel all that unproductive if I simply load up my FTP queue and let it run while my pretty little head is snoring way.

Next up, a bowl of raisin bran and a cup of black coffee while standing in front of the mirror wondering whatever happened to that slim boy from 15 years ago who could do 70+ push-ups in 2 minutes.

MrYum 2006-04-07 09:25 AM

Goooood mornin all!

Yup, I gotta get up on the roof in the next few weeks and clear all my gutters of oak tree leaves and such. Gotta be ready when the rains arrive, cuz when it rains here...it REALLY rains!

Enjoy the game Greenie! I'm told a few shots of good whiskey will make that nasty cold run like hell :D

Mmmm...lizard in bed? Nah...I agree Cleo...don't think I'd like that much either. You and Jim should both start blogs. The Chronicles of Jim and The Trials and Tribulations of Cleo :D

Have a good nap UW! You're right...you do NEED your beauty sleep :D

Have a Friday loaded with SALES everyone!

I don't tell her about my past, she doesn't tell me about her present. Works out pretty well. ;)

I find that making a full backup of my notebook to an external drive is also an excellent way to assuage all feelings of guilt at catching up on some needed rest.

Unless my math is wrong, I believe he was notch #5 on the handle of the shovel in your shed.

Good Friday all...

I should be happy that the 6 weeks of radiation is over but I am very afraid of starting the chemo again next week :( That keeps me in bed and I'll be very sick.

And my monitor is still weird, cannot do anything about it. It was sort of cheap, $600 only or so but the xcreen is very dark.

Copying here the basic parameters hoping Cleo will read it and can suggest me something while I am away bathing in the rays of the cobalt gun. It's a mac mini btw.

Digifan, you have a LCD monitor chosen but you said you are running a CRT in a previous post so it is probably one of the guns going bad in your old CRT but you may try opening up your System Preferences and under Displays choose Color and then Calibrate.
