Selling a Full Feature Film
 

Let's presume you're a director, with a great script and all the neccesary equipment for shooting a high quality full feature film.

The only catch is, you've never shot porn before, and you have no connections in the adult distribution market.

You shoot your movie, it's great, ground-breaking - a high-quality piece of cinema that will forever change the way people view porn, and anyone watching it faints from the pure sexual excitement of it all.

So where do you take your film?

Take it to the top adult film distributors. If you're capable of determining what a great script is, then you already know who the big players are.

Shoot horror movies. There is more money.

Why do people assume shooting porn is so easy?

If you have this ground breaking porn movie take it to the top publishers, Private, Wicked, Digitla Dreams, etc.

What you may find is that you made a great movie with sex in it. Can't sell mainstream and not right for porn.

But if you got the box cover shots right they might offer you $25,000. just don't hold your breath.

People who buy porn are not looking to be shocked and awed, they want to jerk off. :D

If it is a "great, ground-breaking high-quality piece of cinema" it ain't going to sell in the porn market.
