A CSS graphics designer.

Hey guys, I am looking for a designer who can do designs like this one
http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=192/192.css

in CSS of course. I guess I may be going a bit overboard with the design of my blog/directory but I don't want another cookie cutter design.

Could you please give me a list of your best CSS work and prices. I have already asked the only guy around that I know of who could do it (potter) but he is starting a program and no longer taking customers for that stuff.|huh

Great link! Much to learn from!

Gimme a few months, or possibly years, and I might be able to provide that service for you. |thumb

How about 2 months?:D

Sorry... I'm just a cocky newbie who needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut. |loony|

Two months might be pushing it, but if you're really willing to work with someone who has very little experience I'm the perfect high risk investement for you! |thumb

What exactly do you want your design to do for you?

Well, I want it to be unique, save bandwith, and be a fly for the SE spiders. As I understand it, a design in CSS does all the aforementioned.
I already have someone to do the script work for me when the design is complete.

And you're looking for that gothic, romantic, storybook feel?

I know a guy who has a strong sense of contemporary cool with a pretty unique style. I'll ask him if he's interested in taking on a side job. I don't know if he does css, but I can convert any graphic design of his into a css design for you... unless your script handler can do that already.

Kindof. I really like the borderless design and the fadeouts of some of the graphics.

The name of the blog/directory is society of libertines , think De Sade meets Robb report. If you could translate into CSS why couldn't you just start with the CSS instead? I ask because I am unsure of the difficulties involved.

Every artist has their own way of doing things, and is used to doing certain types of projects, but if I were to do those graphics you pointed out I would probably work them in graphic design programs, like illustrator/photoshop/freehand, then later convert them for use in web applications because it's much easier to do it that way.

CSS is just a way of telling the browser where to put and how to treat those images, the same as html.

I contacted the artist I mentioned and let him know about the job.

If he's interested, can I send him your email address? Send it to me in a PM.

yeah, thanks for the help.|thumb

*bumb*

The designer got back to me and said he's too busy to put his fullest attention into this project. He did say to ask him again in about a month or two. But, if you come across someone else before then, by all means you should go with them.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of help. :(
