Non standard trades
Okay, I am looking to innovate here a little bit, so help me out:
If you have a del.icio.us account, can you please visit http://www.latestmovies.com and add it to your list? There is a link on the page to do so. Let me know that you have done it, and I will add any site you want to my lists. If you have a my.yahoo page, I will trade you an RSS feed link on my page for one on your page. If you have other non-standard or third party ideas, let me know... I am open for almost anything, especially in the non-adult side of things. Alex |
Done, if you would do the same for http://www.xxxblogindex.com/xxxblogmaniac it would be appreciated.
Links at bottom of left hand side bar. |

Sure... anywhere that you visit occassionally will help for this test as well... plus del.icio.us if you use that.
Walrus, I will my.yahoo you :) Alex |
Ok great, and you already have my feed, but when I clicked the feed link at the bottom of latest movies I get an error: The XML page cannot be displayed...
|
There are certain links that are not entirely, umm, XML friendly on display, but they work... generates xml parsing errors when you try to view it.
But just copy: http://www.latestmovies.com/feed/ and put it in my.yahoo or mymsn or whatever... they can usually read them fine. Alex |
Unfortunately MSN can't grab it. I've tried several times throughout the day. This is what it says:
There are currently no matches containing "http://www.latestmovies.com/feed/" however syndicated content changes frequently and retrying this search later may produce better results. :( I know it worked on my wordpress created feed. |
Preacher, yeah, it won't validate and it never will because certain other feeds that go into the site are providing purposely corrupted information to stop them from being used in another feed. I will very likely drop the feeds all together from this site, as it is clear that some serious steps are being taken to block some users or usage of their feeds.

I've had problems adding feeds to myMSN before. It took a couple tries (5) but I was able to add Alex's feed to my mymsn.
|
Woohoo! Took me about 50 tries spanning 3 days, but it has finally been added. :D
Thanks for letting me know it wasn't just me Walrus, gave me the determination to keep trying. |thumb |
Some of the feed readers are a little too literal, and cannot handle extended codes. Some content providers are also using extra coding in their feeds to make it harder for these feeds to get "recycled" through aggregators, without major coding.
Thanks Preacher... :) Alex |
