Check Out The Sweet Pussy I got on Sunday!

Check out the sweet pussy I got on sunday. And no, I didn't personally get one as in a 'Useless Warrior I want to cut off my manhood' sort of way.

The pictures are kinda blurry, I tend to get pussy excited when I take pictures of it.

This Depraved Pussy

Him/Her is very cute :)

Simon 2006-05-25 06:21 PM

They're so damn cute at that size. :)

But that #3 pic is a worry.
They never forget where they're allowed to be. :D

Preacher 2006-05-25 07:05 PM

It's the first cat I've ever had, I'm not really a cat guy, but the kids pushed me until I broke, and he's actually really cool. Cost me an extra $50 for the folded ears, but in the end, I think he's worth it.

And yeah Simon, I know what you mean. He chews on my laptop power cord constantly, and I keep thinking of the cat from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation |shocking| . I don't know what I'm going to do, maybe they have something I can paint the cord with that tastes awful. If anybody has any suggestions, I'm all folded ears. ;)

CelticTiger 2006-05-25 07:47 PM

I'm no expert but dogs and cats (especially cats) don't like to be sprayed with water so every time he/she decides to chew on the cable spray the little rascal and it'll soon start to associate the chewing on the cable with it getting sprayed. Tho it's kinda hard to go around with a spray bottle all the time :) Wish it worked with kids lol

Nice litter box

Toni KatVixen 2006-05-25 08:37 PM

I love picture 4. All ready for a fight. :D

MrYum 2006-05-25 09:16 PM

Picture 4 is awesome! That's a kitty who's gonna keep life interesting :D

When my lil cocker spaniel was a puppy, he loved to chew on cords...was always concerned the little dork was gonna fry himself |shocking|

Got a product called Bitter Apple...all natural, but it's something that tastes horrible to dogs. Seem to recall that it's supposed to work on cats too. Check out your local pet store...or online...bet you can find a solution to keep him from eating your puter.

VERY cute kitty |thumb

Sure, it's cute now, but one day you're going to wake up to the horrible realization that that little fucker wants you dead and is going to do everything within its power to bring upon your untimely demise. There's nothing you can do to prevent it. That's simply a cat's genetic make-up. He won't seem so cute then. |cat

Very cute. I'm not a cat guy, I have never really seen one with those ears like that. Pretty cool. Kind of like dog. Hey my mom has a maine coon cat (as big as a dam dog) she uses a soda can she cut in 1/2 and put some pennies in it with some tape on top. When the cat does something she dont want, she shakes that can and the cat runs for the hills.

Cute cat.

My damn cat just knocked over my coffee pot. If there is one thing in my life that no living creature should ever fuck with; it would have to be my coffee supply.

I am considering installing velcro walls for my kids... might not be a bad idea for the cats as well.

Lera 2006-05-26 04:57 AM

Lovely cat! i like him. And tomorrow I'm going to pick up my little dog, he's only 2 month old! so I'll have one newcomer in my house too. Can't wait!!!!|bananna|

Jim 2006-05-26 07:14 AM

I wish they could stay that size. We have a couple of BIG Cats. (Maine Coons) I don't think ours were ever that small :)

cosmiccat 2006-05-26 07:27 AM

Cats are awesome. Just remember..."A cat knows your every thought...it doesn't care - but it knows!" :D

Simon 2006-05-26 07:34 AM

I wonder if the breeders are working on a "mini-cat" sort of like all those tiny dogs that women carry around in their special designer dog handbags. I think they'd sell. The mini-cats I mean. Well, yeah the handbags too. And little tiny cat outfits too probably. There's no limit to what some fans of mini- tiny toy-sized animals will buy.

As far as keeping them off where you don't want them... good luck. I found you have to make sure they learn their boundaries very, very young. Almost all their imprinting is done very young. After that, you'll be chasing them away from places they're sure you gave them permission to use.

Juggernaut is right about some cats reacting to the loud rattling sound like that. And CelticTiger is right about spritzing them with water. I've seen that Bitter Apple stuff that MrYum mentioned, but never tried it with my cats. I made it more fun for myself and went and bought a variety of small water pistols, good ones that don't leak. That way if they make you stop working to correct them, at least you can enjoy aiming for specific targets.

I have one of those mini dogs :) He is my favorite dog by far. When he first came here, I hated him and called him RatDog. But after I had the flu once and he wouldn't leave my side as I layed in bed and on the couch, he became my favorite. But, he won't wear any clothes. On the other hand, our 2 Chinese Cresteds both wear clothes all the time. After all, they have not fur. The boy has teeshirts that say "Bitches Love Me" and plenty of Harley Davidson shirts. The girl wears nothing but dresses :) In case of rain, they have Gordon Fisherman type yellow slickers :)

And the easiest cheapest method....

Act like a cat and swat at their eyes and hiss/growl when they do wrong. You do not need to actually hit them at all, just get close you will see them recoil and it may take 2-4 swats before they take off.

Animals naturally try to protect their eyes, and cats attack the eyes when they fight and swat at them when they "warn" so do the exact same thing and he will get the point that you are the alpha.

Torn Rose 2006-05-26 09:15 AM

BTW, loved the laptop pic as well, but imagine having a cat that weighs 14lbs doing that, that’s a habit that needs broken ASAP.

We have never had issues with our cats messing with the laptops other then rubbing their chins against the corners of the monitor, they actually will leap over the keyboard or most likely, jump on me to go around them.

Stupid cats….

Simon 2006-05-26 09:16 AM

I learn so much on this board. :) For instance, I'm learning that
"Jim has dogs" is one of those nice, tight mantras that reveals
more of itself as you chant it over time.

While I still have some illusions left... tell me you don't carry your mini dog around in a special Harley handbag. ;)

Something like this Torn? |catfight|

Preacher 2006-05-26 11:42 AM

Thanks for all the replies. The laptop normally doesn't sit on the ground nor do I leave it unattended much so that probably won't be much of a problem. I'm more worried about all the cords he likes to chew on like the laptop power cord, the fan cord and the fact that he likes to crawl behind our stove.

But I'll try a few of the suggestions above and see if I can curb him of those. |thumb

TotallyJeanette 2006-05-26 01:43 PM

Awww...how cute! My heart is melting...I'm such a sucker for animals, especially when they're just little babies. Awww.... :) :) :)

That's a grade A pussy. Lol :D

cockhungryhoes 2006-06-02 01:36 PM

I have a little orange pussy too....lol

RedCherry 2006-06-02 07:07 PM

He is REALLY cute!

Want REAL fun get another cat, then go through the hell mine have been putting me through for 2 days, lol. Loki, our 14# Bengal male crossed the boundry of our 6# Aby female Bu and she has been kicking his ass for 2 days. We have been keeping them in seperate spaces, but trying to see if they will get along this afternoon. Right now Loki is in the corner of my office growling, and Bu is under my feet staring at him...and I'm hoping they don't break out in a fight under my desk.

Hissing works VERY well in training them. They learn pretty quickly that a hiss means no. Sometimes I clap my hands when I hiss for more noise. No just doesn't work at all for cats. I've never tried the go for the eyes trick, I'll have to remember that.
