Try mp3Dollars :)

sickkittens 2003-12-18 05:12 PM

Greenguy,

Is that your program?

gigi 2003-12-19 12:24 PM

This thread is interesting to me. I'm looking for non-adult sponsors/products to use on my sites at this time.

GG,
I just checked out MP3 Dollars....looks pretty good....except, I found this in their TOS

Promoting or dealing in content such as: Warez, passwords, MP3,....

It's weird that they don't let you promote 'MP3' when that is pretty much what their product is about???

I'd love to see this thread grow...I'll be watching. :)

I promote nothing except porn :)

I looked at mp3dollars. But I am not sure I agree that people using kazza and the likes don't know how to use them.

And besides... why pay for mp3s when you can get them for free *LOL* (and in this case I don't think the quality argument works)

Also... if you download through mp3dollars... is it the legal like iTunes?

I'm constently being told that there's no point in me trying to sell porn because "If people can get it for free ......."

I put MP3Dollars on my one page mainstream site that I pretty much ignore so I don't really have any useful info to give you on that other to say it looks like it is a good program and something different so why not give it a try. :)

I was reading on CNN the other day that 90% of the world's population has never been on the internet yet. Wow that sure speaks well for future growth!

On the subject of iTunes it is legal because Apple has reached agreements with the musicians in order to sell their music. This is also what is keeping them from going worldwide with the service since they have to negotiate country by country for each band that they are able to sell, but they are expected to go worldwide sometime next year.

True - I have heard that a lot as well :)

However... mp3dollars say somewhere in their sales pitch that people using kazza and other p2p file sharing don't know how to use it. I think they know exactly how to use! And they are happily downloading for free.

Those people who have no idea what kazza is have a hard time downloading mp3s... granted. So they would be the ones that go for something like iTunes where you pay... but then it is also legal.

How does mp3dollars then fit in? If I pay to download through their service... is it then legal for me like if I had joined iTunes? Does mp3dollars have a similar agreement with the artists (or their labels) to sell their music over the internet. If not... I have a hard time seing the benefits.

Then of course there is the issue of targeting. My surfers are looking for big juicy tits... what are the odds they will change their minds and start downloading Judas Priest instead |jester|

All I am saying is... I am a bit sceptical about mp3dollars. But I gladly admit I have not read their Terms closely or anything.
But I'd love the inputs from people who are using...

I have started to change my exit links to TopBuck's mainstream products, I have not been doing that for so long, so i cannot tell if there is any good result of it, yet. But I thought that is better to send them there instead of google etc.

Any other suggestions? What about lingerie, health products, or maybe centerfold calendars??

Any other thoughts?

Yeah, but Cleo, what CCN probably failed to tell is that a fair chunk of that 90% don't have a pot to piss in never mind a computer!

:D
