Hey folks,

Not sure where to post this so I guess the Newbie area is alright...

I've been trying to list link lists from the resource area but by going through just a few I notice that many of them are no longer accepting submissions... or are 404's... or something.

Just so you know ;)

Oddly enough, those are all based on requests by board members, so you can go yell at them - lol

I'll have MML go thru them in the near future & remove the dead ones.

Yep, sad how many link sites get started with the owners thinking $$$ will just come flowing in. When it doesn't the site gets neglected and/or allowed to die :(

Oh man. So maybe I should hold of on this link site script I've been writing for myself... I thought that all I had to do was to finish it, put it up and BAM, I'm loaded in a week! :D

Kidding of course.
But even though a lot of lists are evidently not making it, there's gotta be a way to make it profitable since many of you are obviously very successful.

Hard work maybe?

I am told that hardwork, knowledge and time works well in this biz

I know I've submitted to a bunch, far more than I should have too.

But I like to do a little house keeping every month or so. Takes me a while to fingure out who's dead, and who's just really slow. :D

I'm not new to the web and its technologies... and I'm close to some people who have tried it in this particular biz and stopped/given up, so I'm well aware that it will take lots of work to succeed.

Yea, there's one in particular that's been posted in these forums that the site is DEAD...and this was months ago. Yet, every day...I still get submissions with that site in the recips table. Worth mentioning...the site in question isn't just not being updated...the url goes to a black screen |banghead|

Chop hit the nail on the head...link sites can be profitable with lots of effort, learning and time. But, it becomes a love/hate relationship. You almost gotta love it for it to grow (over a long period of time), but you get to where you hate the amount of time it takes. If that makes any sense at all |dizzy|
