What's to do in Pittsburg?
Ill be there all next week with the wife. Wondering what I should see, where I should stay away from etc.
|
I'd stay away from football players riding motorcycles without a helmet.
|
tell everybody you see that they should be thankful that the NFL decided that they had won the super bowl before it even started
|
Look for H's

God I can see it now. Me and the wife are beat up by stealer fans. Hey wait I used to be one back when "Mean Joe Green" was mean. lol. Gee this is great, a summer trip. Hum let's see Vegas, Hollywood or Pittsburg? I get the Pitt. LOL. I'll tell you it's always the same shit. I think that's why I enjoyed Disney last year. Only trip I wanted and I got lol.

Shot-gun a six of Iron City and and have nasty sex in the back of a rental car. Then cruise the strip throwing the empties in the Motel 6 parking lot while yelling “ thanks for leaving the light on muthafucka”.
Or just get a room and watch T.V. |

Eat french fries on everything and call people "yous".
I think the best bars and shopping are in the airport. Other then that, I've been there a few times but not much else to say about it. |
Great. I can see it now. Just another shitty city. Oh well I guess I'll enjoy the fact that I'm not home and can chalk this up on my list of places I have been lol.
|
I've only ever been to the airport. And it's not too bad. ;)

Are you going to Pitt for a specific reason?? Or just to see the good ole USA.. because there are a few places outside of pittsburgh that are interesting (my godfather lived there so we went yearly for a visit)
In Wyoming PA (just outside of Scranton) is Victory Pig ("the Pig") Pizza. Now as odd as it sounds.. we used to drive 3 hours from NYC to get a case of frozen pizza to take back home for parties. Its made on a long rectangle but much thinner than most loaf pizzas and it has a homemade sauce to die for. The Kutztown Festival starts the 1st of July but it's awesome if you are looking for a real slice of "old" americana. The fresh roasted corn is worth the trip itself. In pittsburgh itself there was a growing art community on the southside that i understand has become quite trendy or as trendy as you can get in coal country but lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants. Also the Carnegie Museum is pretty interesting since he was a fanatic for contemporary art and it is the home of the Warhol museum. if none of that interests you i'd say the Quote:

WellI'm here for medical reasons. I have to say driving after the med shit yesterday, there is not 1 dam thing to do in this city. I'm am truly shocked. I'm not kidding, did the museum thing which lasted all about 3 hours and aside from people In PA being the worste drivers in the world, nothing else interesting. This place is such a shithole even the real estate boom passed it by. I was looking over home mags and was shocked to see a house roughly the same in specs as my 300k house going for 49,995.00 Hey maybe I should move here and be a land barren but then I would prob shoot myself from bordom. If not for the hospital and the stadium this place would really be nothing. I have been to alot of places in the USA, roughly 30 some odd cities and this one is really the worste. Bars with no one in them, stores with fashion from 3 years ago, taxis waiting to pick up no one. Went to the downtown side of the city as I was told it's the "Happening place" well the only thing happening there were the flying rats fighting for french fries I was tossing at them. Oh Lord I'm not even staying Friday, after my shit is done on Thursday I'm out. Don't ever come here.
