what sounds more appealing?
Make $6 per sale.
-or- Make 50% off of all orders. |
I always have preferred a commission as opposed to straight payout. That's just my personal opinion however.

Depends on what you're selling - got to say though the 50% would be more appealing, but if 50% is the $6 it better be one heck of a product with very little affiliate exposure or it would be extremely hard to get attention (in other words it would hopefully be a product that someone could reasonably expect to be able to sell 1000 of a day) :)

$6? That is very low unless like Linster said it sells like the free email programs once did. And I would guess anything is better than $6 so probably 50% depending on the monthly or one time cost of course.

hey Ramster
how are you ya know I wanted to write you a thank you note. I was holding on to that email you sent to me but I sort of lost it anyway... Thank you !!!! |
50% off... |bananna| |bananna|

i think it depends on who you are competing with: if you are going against 1$ mail programs, 6$ sounds amazing!
If you are going to against affliliate programs, 50% puts you in the game. Advantage on % deals is that you can adjust the sale price without making people either over paid or under paid. Alex |

sickkittens - what are we selling & 50% of what dollar amount?
|
Greenguy asked the right question.
I'd say percentage anyways (if in fact it is able to recur). That way you can adjust payouts for affiliates sending you more traffic. |
Some days, 50% of $6 sounds good. Arrrgh!
|
I left out some info....
Basically assuming the item was $12 Regardless, the affiliate webmaster would make the same amount of money regardless. I'm just trying to figure out what sounds more appealing to get someone to signup to an affiliate program. Assuming all items on a site for sale are $12 each. Would it be better to say "Make $6 per item sold" or "Make 50% of all sales" |
In that case I would go with the 50%
|
I would say 50%
