Custom recips
 

After receving encouraging reviews and pretious advices for my first free site, I've started to submit to Link Lists. When surfing on the LLs to check my competition, I've notice one thing: some free site builders are using custom recips, made by them. I would like to start using custom recips too, because they would look better with my layout (not to mention that a lot of the recips I saw are full of invalid HTML code).

Now, my question: what should I do? Should I go and ask for every LL owner his/hers permission to build a custom recip? Or should I just build'em and submit my free sites, and not worring that I would get banned?

P.S. when customizing the recips, I _will_ keep the original text and links, changing only size and some colors to make them fit to my color scheme.

I doubt any serious LL owner won't accept your free sites because you choose to use custom recips. Actually most of us welcome custom recips as long as you keep intact the links structure( this meaning anchor texts and title tags ).

As Alessandro mentioned, many of us actually prefer custom recips. When done properly, they provide a much cleaner looking recip table :)

Speaking for myself, I don't mind if you alter the anchor text slightly. While keeping the text accurate for the niche of course, and I'd prefer that the Free Porn Post remains intact.

MrYum can speak for me too. ;) I love custom recips and don't mind a change to the anchor text either...however many LL's out there will reject you if you alter the anchor text, so be careful with that. |thumb

I'm sure no self-respecting LL owner will ban you for making custom recips. As the previous posters say, keep the correct linking info and you'll have no problems. I've just started using custom Recips on some of my sites and I prefer them. They're neater and easier to incorporate into a design.

I think my recips are ugly as hell so please make up as custom ones :D

I've only used custom recips. I get listed. :D

I don't mind custom recips so send away :D
