And here I thought Dyson Sucked :)

Our Dyson vacuum cleaner broke a belt a week ago. I called them to hear that their belts don't break. I told them mine did and was told that I could not change it myself. I screamed and bitched about them selling a product where you can't do a simple repair on a belt that sooner or later will break.

After I calmed down, I was told I had to go to a ups shipping center. The closest one is 2 hours away :) So, they said to box it up and ups would be there the next day to pick it up. On Wednesday, UPS showed up with a prepaid sticker and took the vacuum. I just received it back today. It went out on Wednesday, had to get to them on Thursday, they repaired it and shipped it so I would receive it today.

It was finally good to see a company really stand behind their product.

I just wish maytag would get on the ball and get us a switch for our washing machine or I will be off to the laundromat again :) It's been 2 weeks so far.

A Dyson is my dream vacuum. Wish I could afford one! |cry|

We have The Animal by Dyson :)
Nice but a little naive to have them say that their belts never wear out. But, you can't beat the service. And, my wife found ours with non-interest payments on the web someplace. I think we paid about $25/month for it.

Yep, right after moving to Florida...my Fantom died (might have had something to do with hanging upside down in the back of a moving truck for 3,000 miles :D).

Went out and bought a Dyson Animal. Don't usually get too excited about vacuum cleaners, but this thing is a beast |thumb

Man, I've got to save up and get one - I'm so jealous! |loony|

I just bought a Hoover Wind Tunnel and it's good and all but with my little bit of OCD about having to clean all the time, I have to replace vacuum's on a regular basis.

We share tastes, lmao. |waves|

We also went from a Fantom, right to the animal!

And yes Jim on the belts, and for the most part, they are a "cocky" company. Nice though, that they have something to be cocky about.|thumb

I get the impression we share tastes in a few areas :D

Hmm...wait...that could be mis-interpreted. Aw fuck it...you know what I mean :D

Forgot to mention...yea, it's great that they backup their product. Even if they are a bit cocky about it...at least they stand behind their machine. We've now got about a year and a half on this one...getting used at least once or twice/week. And it still sucks just like it did when new |thumb

I tiled my whole hose and no longer have any carpets to use a vacuum on.

I do have a POS vacuum and carpet shampooer rusting away in my garage through.
