Happy Back To Work Monday

And a fine morning to all. After many hours of TV last night, I feel refreshed :) Forcast for today...HOT.

I have to do a little birthday shopping today :)

Going to be a real scorcher! Tennis early this morning, then working in the AC all day. Have a great day everyone! |bananna|

Fonz 2006-07-17 07:28 AM

Morning all,

I don't feel that good this morning. I blame the Vodka I drank last night.
We've got an entire week of hot sweaty weather coming so I'd better start putting up fans around the house so I don't melt.

Have a good day all.

bluemoney 2006-07-17 07:36 AM

Good Morning All |waves|

Hot as a mother here already. Today I'm working on my twenty-first century "dude lingo". Here is this weeks word.

Mandruff - When you cum in a girls hair and she doesn't get it all out so it eventually flakes out on its own.

Usage- "Dude, that scally I was with last night wanted to score my man gravy"

"Dude, nice."

"Dude, you know I make a good cake and the ladies seem to like me, let's just say she woke up with a mean case of mandruff."

PS. Hang in there Fonz, all you can do is ride it out.

fantabulous 2006-07-17 07:46 AM

Good Morning everybody

Boring morning |yawn| i wish it would be Sunday seven times a week |bananna|

Good morning world |waves|

The radar looks clear and the sun is shining brightly, so it should be raining here in a few minutes. The summer is always such fun here. But at least the storm strackers aren't mentioning that damn "H" word, so all is good in comparison.

Wishing everyone a great week.

:)

Ramster 2006-07-17 08:11 AM

Good Morning :)

cd34 2006-07-17 08:19 AM

hopefully we'll have decent weather this week. Its funny, everyone that wants to visit, visits in the summertime and can't understand why the 'sunshine state' has rain. You try to explain the tropical effect, how the weather systems work, why it rains in the afternoons for 20 minutes, how coastal winds and currents work, why the sqall line is usually 12 miles from the coast, etc., but, they continue to visit in the summer.

Then you try to explain the Chesapeake Bay's unique weather sink properties and why that affects the weather later in the winter when our spring is just beautiful, and say, if you want sun and warm weather, spring break is just about the perfect time to visit and leave all that slush, grey sky and rain behind, but, they just don't get it.

I might have to make a slideshow presentation detailing weather phenomenon in Florida versus the climates where most of our family lives so that they can choose a better time to visit Florida.

Personally, I don't mind the heat, it got up to 78F yesterday with a cool of 76F -- our thermostat likes that +-1 degree from the setting. I was looking at a few things and determined that our house is underinsulated which is making our climate controlled environmental bubble a tad expensive to cool down, so, since my nephew is here, and I need to run some cable in the attic, I might take the time to install some radiant barrier to see if a $60 investment + time will make any noticable effect in the runtime of the A/C unit. Somehow, I don't see how aluminum foil will make that much of a difference, but, the theory is very similar to making an airgap in a shade structure and I have seen how that works and it does reduce the thermal effects quite nicely. The odd thing is that the foil is supposed to face the 'wrong' way.

I'm not sure how I'll squeeze all of that fun into the day, so, I'll work at night. :)

Kinky 2006-07-17 08:45 AM

decided to get outta dodge a bit early so I just rolled in from Vegas a couple hours ago... off the hibernate for a week or so |potleaf| |potleaf| and yes I managed to NOT hit the Hoover Dam on my way home :D

MrYum 2006-07-17 08:48 AM

Gooood mornin folks |waves|

That's cute Bluemoney, but if she got it in her hair...she didn't do it right :D

Very true Sparky...family and friends just don't seem to understand summer is our rainy season |loony|

Here's to a great week for everyone...may sales flood your stats!

dareutwo 2006-07-17 08:48 AM

Morning all -
I won't be around much at all today.
BB in a few minutes, then take the kids to the next town over to go swimming. While they're swimming I'll make a run into Detroit Lakes for bulk food and stuff like that.
It got to 98F yesterday, I we basically sat inside all day. Today looking at low 80's, and mid 80's the rest of the week. :)

Cleo 2006-07-17 08:48 AM

Woken up by a dove flying into my head. I figure the rest of the day can't get any weirder. Caught the dove, it was mostly in one piece with no obvious mortal wounds, and threw it out the front door and it few away. Still have to cleanup all the feathers scatted around the house.

Saw Superman Returns yesterday. Nothing like I expected and pretty entertaining.

Doing the gym once I'm awake and then will probably just spend the day working at home unless I don't spend the day working at home.

ponygirl 2006-07-17 08:48 AM

Mornin' y'all,

A mainstream client contacted me on Friday about a site upgrade we initially discussed about 4 months ago. Yup, you guessed it, they've decided to proceed and now I need to get it done before leaving for Internext. |banghead|

Spud tried Saki at dinner.. took him 3 sips to decide he didn't really like it. Tried bailey's at the ghost bar ..made a face.. guess that meant no.
Now that the new tower is built the best city view is def from the top of the Rio in the Voodoo Lounge.

It has been hot here as well. Me and the kids went to GGs and used his pool yesterday don't tell him though LOL :D

Tart 2006-07-17 11:34 AM

Time to get to work I suppose. It's been raining here but I took the rottie for a walk anyway, the big baby has been glued to me since I got home which can be a bit inconvenient.

Kinky, where's the pics that caused the accident? The view must have been pretty good :)

Hi Celtic |waves|

Girls who wash are much less likely to let allow a guy like me anywhere near their genitalia.

Well, I woke up around 10:50 or so. Had to turn the coffee pot back on since the wife made me a pot of coffee this morning and I never got to drink it before the timer turned off. Thus far, that's the excitement of the day.

Just another exciting Monday here, mowed the yard, cleaned the pool and found out we are no longer in the business, not sure what we have done for the past year, I guess I will find that out some other time.|huh

Nothing planned here, I would say “work” but if I’m no longer in this business I am sure as hell not going to do any work.|waves|
