Hi all,

I'm polishing up my first adult blog style site:

Couple questions:

1) Can I get a critique from you experienced bloggers? Design, function, thoughts, whatever... don't hold back. Years of abuse has made me difficult to hurt. |thumb

2) I anticipate doing link exchanges with blogs/directories, ping every place that'll take it, drop nice little comments in other peoples' blogs, but do any of you have suggestions on how else to promote it? So far I've just been sending my own traffic to it, but I don't think freesite runoff is gonna do it.

I think it looks real good, and nice text. Only thing I can see is the need for more posts..:)

As for promoting you can submit to blog directories and like you said, doing link trades. If you have good posts it should build with traffic.

Getting used to writing a backlog of entries has occupied a lot of my time lately. |thumb

I think writting is hard for most webmasters, I know it can be for me. And ya, it sure takes time, what most people dont realize about blogs and probably why so many die off.

Virgohippy, do you really like erotic teenage sites? If you do, I think half the battle is already won, I'm going to promote an exqisite teens section on my site because I love teens, if you're honest with your surfers I think they respect that. And if you describe why you like them, details like the gaze of the girl you mentioned, I think it goes a long way.

BTW, I like the layout and the centered theme of your blog, it's nice to see something different than the feeds that 90% of bloggers seem to be using.

And I should be up this week so if you're interseted, maybe we could trade.|thumb

Nice looking blog...BTW remember you have to submit your blog first to a lot of places that get pinged or else your ping will be ignored.

Do you mean I have to register with a blog list site before I ping?

Or that I have to exchange links with other sites that use ping services?

No problem, let me try to explain.

Ping-o-matic is a pinging service that the standard WP install will ping every time you post. Then ping-o-matic pings a number of different sites that you have updated your blog. Some of these sites are RSS aggregators and some directories. Some will take adult, others won't.

You must register your blog with these services (the ones Ping-O-Matic pings) or pinging them actually does no good (does no harm either). If you want to see which services Ping-O-Matic pings you can see them on their website http://pingomatic.com/

Technorati, http://www.technorati.com, is one of the service it pings so before your ping will be effective you must go to technorati and "claim" your blog.

My Yahoo is another service. If you have a my yahoo account you can submit your blog and then ping o matic will notify Yahoo everytime it is updated.

Most of these places do not require recipricol links but some do so check them out when you register with them (or submit to them if you prefer)

I've got a pretty comprehensive list of mainstream aggregators and directories you can submit adult to that I've been meaning to get added to Adult Blogging Tools but have just been too damn lazy. PM me and I can email it to all that ask.
