quick question for US based webmasters

Ok lots of renewed talk about 2257 and inspection lately. So I have a question for web masters who make their living as affiliates;

if a program you were making money with had girls that looked questionable would you;

stop promoting them
check to make sure they had a clear 2257 statement and page
request documents for the girls you were using to promote them with
or a combination of the above

I'd be very interested in hearing your responses and for a very good reason.

I obviously promote alot of jaYMan Cash stuff. I know I am covered there in terms of 2257.

I have yet to come across a sponsor who is handing out docs. Then again, I have only asked for them from one sponsor. That request was last summer, and it was denied.

So I just used their fhg's instead. (this was not a case of me doubting the ages, just trying to get compliant)

If I really, really doubted the age, I would not promote them unless I was provided the docs.

If you check the threads of various boards during the period of panic a while back, you will find several who announced that they are willing to put a model's privacy and safety in jeopardy in order to keep their profits rolling in.

thats a very good point, if our program hands out the docs they will be redacted (which is allowed) and only available to webmasters based in the US... since 100% of our models come from Russia, the threat posed to the models would be exceedingly minimal.

The only scenario that would apply in my case (I don't promote teen sites) would be if an existing sponsor added a new site using such content. As long as there wasn't any cross promotion on the tours or hosted galleries I'd probably continue promoting the other sites. If they began cross promoting using that same questionable content I'd probably pull my links and send my traffic elsewhere.

I'm a firm believer in not making myself a target.
