Link list worth submitting too
Is there any ressource or something like that ? I haven't made any free sites for years now.
|
Here is a nice list for you :) http://www.greenguysboard.com/resour...fic/index.html
|
That's a lot. are they all worth it ?
|
MML checks each one, and they all belong members of this board... so... that's probably the easiest way to get started. |thumb
Speaking of which, MML, I need to ask you to add my LL into the mix too, now that I have traffic. :D |
drDre it has been my experience that pretty much all the LL's that are live (list and review) and worth it are on that list. I used to submit to 400+ LLs a while back. Now I submit to a lot less then half. With the same results.
|
Give us about a week and our new directory will be open for submissions again. Lots of new features coming...plus I'm redeveloping it from the ground up. |thumb

I've gotten sales from warning pages on freesites that had backlinks from LL's that all only sent small steady trickles of traffic.
As Lemmy pointed out, if it's steady, then it's gold. |thumb |
I have to agree. It seems like any link list that will list my sites are worth submitting to and could produce a sale. It only takes an extra minute to hit the small ones anyways right? But I would like, just once, for someone who knows WHO the big link lists are to post a list of them :) Ive seen this type of question posted at least 3 times since Ive been coming here and noone ever answers it. I would just like to know who they are so I can make sure they are on my submit list.

Warbot,
The problem with that is, how big is big? As you pointed out, if a small site is enough, then why not seek out more every so often and see what you get from them? When you find one that sends "big" traffic, then you'll know its "big." If it doesn't send you enough... then stop submitting to it. |thumb |
I decided when I first started submitting that I was going to submit to every free site known to man regardless of the traffic numbers they sent. Its like Lemmy said, a small link list today may be a big one tomorrow. Cant hurt to give them free sites when they need them and maybe they will remember me when they get big :)

Not a big deal though. If I can eak out a few sales Ill be able to stick around long enough to figure it out :) |
Ok ... I added like 30 big ones to my submission list. I will probabbly add another 30 others later.
This is taking a lot of time daily to hand submit thought... Is using GASS allowed ? Also, do you guys submit daily ? |
Between all the projects I manage, working a day job, I submit every chance I get. :D
When other things don't pile up, I CAN submit every day to maybe 75 lists. (That's low, imo.) Freesite traffic is #1, Grade A, Gold. Get used to doing one every day, and the $$$ WILL slowly trickle in. There's a reason why it takes so long. |thumb |
Given that you can only submit one site/day most places, each day you don't submit you're leaving money on the table.
I don't know anything about GASS, but in my experience people who use auto creation/submission software fuck up a lot. The tenth time they enter their nick in the title field, choose the wrong category and fill the field reserved for special comments to the reviewer with key words it gets very easy just to hit the BL button. Once you get your tables set up it's really not that time consuming to submit. What little time you save using auto software can cost you dearly in the long run in rejected submits, blacklistings and, ultimately, lost sales. |
GASS is only a tool to help you filup the forms... you still do it manually.

I just discovered RoboForm (I know... I'm a little behind the times - what can I say - I still use Notepad to make my sites!) and it has made submitting my freesites a breeze! |

That said, I agree completely with LadyD. RoboForm is an awesome tool |thumb It's purely a form filler...once configured correctly, it can easily cut submissions times drastically. When I was in major free site production, submitting 3 sites/day to 96 link lists...took about 90 minutes. Great tool in a responsible submitters arsenal |thumb Gotta mention since this is a public forum. Newbies, if you try it...PLEASE be damn careful! It's very easy to plug the wrong data into the wrong cell and fuck up your submissions to every link site on your list. Reviewers see this more than a couple times and they think you're an auto-submitter...instant blacklist :( |

I messed up my first few time using it too... but I used it submitting to myself a bunch of times before I tried using it on others. Just don't tell anyone I'm using it too... |couch|
It really isn't for newbies. If you're a newbie it really is in your best interest to go through all the stress of getting it right, and spending 3 hours to submit to 12 link lists completely by hand. I don't even want to think about getting blacklisted... the nightmares would be too horrific! |
I use 2 IE browsers and an open text file. Windows auto-complete takes care of quite a bit of the info and anything it doesnt I just copy and paste from the text file. Probably not as fast as roboform but it works pretty well.
|
I keep all the rules pages in one list on my hd. I used to open all the submit pages to a mirror in different tabs (firefox |bananna|), then copy & paste one value at a time.
copy name, paste name, next tab, paste name, next tab, paste name, next tab, paste name... etc. Saves some time, and it's quite a bit more newbie friendly. |thumb |
My LLs aren't big at all at this moment, but as others pointed out in this thread, their traffic is growing steadly plus I'm reviewing / listing all free sites I get within 24 hours ( there few exceptions when it takes more ).
And I totally agree whit Lemmy's statement: Quote:

Ahh, another old schooler traffic trader doing the free site game :)
I been doing free sites everyday since Jan of this year and its going pretty good for me, this stuff just seems like it takes a lifetime to get running. I have pretty much topped out as far as traffic from the LL's goes it seems, but the SE traffic is just now starting to flow a little bit into my first domain I started doing free sites on. And thats what I been after the whole time anyways, just been considering the LL traffic as a nice bonus. The best advice I can give from what I have learned in 6-7 months of doing this is make sure your sites work together into a network and dont just submit each site inividually, save one of your 3 out links for a hub. I build a bunch of sites a head of schedule and I get quite a bit of sign ups from sites I havent even submitted yet, and sign ups off my hubs, not to mention the SE benefits down the road. Doing the free site game isnt just something you say one day "oh I think I'll try that out". Its a long term commentment that you aren't gonna see much results from in at least 2-3 months and the "big prize" is probably at least a couple years down the road. |
