Well, it's another wet n' wild morning here in the tropics of Upstate, NY. I've been tossing and turning for awhile, so I gave up on the idea of getting more sleep. Who needs sleep anyway?

The wife and I are starting a nice little four day weekend today, so I'll eventually have to wake her milky-white ass up so we can get our shit together before leaving. Got pack up the kids and ship them to my parents. (Yay!!!!) If anyone would like to stop by and check on my dogs while I'm gone - be my guest. :D I double-dog dare ya.

Oh yeah, I have to pick up some guy with a Southern drawl at the airport today. |thumb

Mornin' y'all from South Florida,

Today has already started better than yesterday. An extra large mocha and an apricot danish beats TEN %&#$! HOURS to fly from Houston to Ft. Lauderdale.

Flight was delayed leaving Houston. Missed connecting flight in Atlanta. Next flight was 3.5 hour wait. Did have a nice lunch and a Long Island Iced Tea at TGI Fridays during the wait.

Flight leaving Atlanta had problems refueling, boarded on time, but sat on the ground for 45 minutes until problem solved. Not a big deal EXCEPT plane had no A/C while on the ground. Finally get to Ft. Lauderdale 4.5 hours after scheduled arrival.

I may double up on that extra large mocha. :D

I'm not at home to make the |coffee, so you peeps are on your own.

Yep, another hot and wet day here as well. Our VIP passes for Roger Waters finally came in yesterday. I really had no idea what to expect to get with a VIP package at a concert. But, we have all access badges, special parking permits, directions for entry at the back of the amphitheater and even little special debit cards for 10 drinks each. Oh yeah, we our badges also have little orange stickers that say "camera allowed".

Anyway, we can finally get excited about going. We were going to stay with my sister in law but, her and her husband are having problems so, we are dog stuck. At least we have a month to figure out what to do with them for overnight.

Morning tennis; and work. The usual.

I guess the cat can come out of the bag - like last year, I'm having a few people over for the weekend. Useless & Sandy, Chop, Emerald & Blue Brit (who are sleeping in my office rightnow...more on that later) DrB, NoFroBro, Ponygirl & of course The MaryLou's & Yell. (Jim has dogs)

My main PC should be here shortly (UPS said they'd have it here by 10:30) which means that Emmy (who went to Bingo with The Bitch for about 8 hours last night) will have to wake up shortly, as I have to get off this fucking laptop |banghead|

When I lived in Manhattan, the other four boroughs and everything outside them was Upstate New York. Actually, if you couldn't easily get there by taxi or subway, you were "going Upstate."

Besides...Wikiepedia says that you do live in Upstate New York. |catfight|

Wow am I sore. Played tennis for the first time in over a year for a long time last night and I'm really feeling it this morning.

Dong the gym once I'm awake for some odd reason and then just planning a day of making an attempt to get somewhat caught up in work.

Espresso and aspirin are now being served.

That must be as common a misconception as everyone saying New Orleans got hit by Katrina, whereas we Mississippi Gulf Coastians know the truth.

Back to normal finally.
The storm knocked out my power for over 24 hours. I spent that time trying to expend as little energy as possible, since showering every hour in the dark grew tired pretty quickly. A few hours of power, then off again for emergency repairs. I killed that time doing an outdoor shoot, and am now painfully sunburned.

After a 1.5 days of 90+ heat walking around a theme park and 30 big roller coaster rides later. I feel beaten like a bad dog that just chewed up the masters favorite new shoes. Crap, do I hurt.

Went to the bank to do some transfers...ended up looking at a new Harley Davidson...if my accountant only new....
