Good to see the board up in running again!

Todays question is about count trackers. When? where? and why use them. I installed a couple php counters and my counters are showing, lets say 600 counts in a few hours but my sponsor is showing 19 all day. I also found a script that lets you cheat your counts. Not by any means am I implying anything but i am unclear as to why my counter shows such a high number and my sponser's is showing so low. My counters are currently hidden. Should I go to visible counters? Any tutorials or suggestions would be helpful..thanks webman

First page counters are far from accurate.

Your sponsor is counting how many times they actually clicked on their ad, not how many times your page was viewed. Also is your sponsor counting raw, unique, or second page hits?

This particular sponsor is counting unique hits. I think part of my issue is what you mentioned Cleo and that is, first page hits are inaccurate. So what if I move my counter? As of right now my counter is only on my first and second page.
However out of lets say again 600 hits, they only clicked on my sponsor 19 times??? This counter script has a setting to prevent reloads etc..thanks webman

Run a banner rotator which will count actually clicks on your banners like phpAdsNew and you will be shocked at how few visitors actually click on many of your ads.
