Colo-Cation or Dreamhost?

Let me start by saying that I use godaddy right now, and I realized that they suck. (I think I lost having some free sites listed due to slow connection, and server overload) So I am looking for a new host.

After searching this board it looks like COLO-CATION and Dreamhost are the two most popular hosting co.

Now, my question is, why such a big difference between the two?
I mean storage space, Bandwidth and price, what gives?

I don’t need 1T of Bandwidth and 20G storage right now but why the big difference?

Totally confused by this, thanks in advance to all.

Bandwidth and storage is cheap. Service and quality is really the only thing that matters.

I can't say anything about Dreamhost since I have never used them. But, I have been using Colo-cations owner's services since the beginning of time. He has never let me down. Search the board and see how many people have moved to colo-cation without downtime.

Colo-cation without a doubt. Without quality service you're nowhere.

One more thing in case anyone wonders. I get nothing from Sparky (cd34, colo-cation) except great service. I pay the exact amount anyone else does and he is not an advertiser on this board. Hell, I don't even use my affiliate id when I write colo-cation.com

If I did, I'm sure Sparky would be paying me instead of me paying him :) There are just so many people that have moved there from this board alone.

Colo-cation.

Even my dumb newbie questions and problems are taken care of quickly and effectively. It's hard to see how a service could be any better.

Colo-Cation vs. Dreamhost? I think that's an apples and oranges thing.

WOW, thanks, it looks like colo-cation it is.

One more quick question, if I start with say Virtual 20gb data transfer and I want to upgrade, or I need more storage etc..., how easy is it to do it?

That is really a question you should be asking the host. Some hosts make it easy, some don't.

Always best to be directing those types of questions to the host.
