Acceptable video clip formats

Hello all,

I'm converting a bunch of vintage amateur porn for masterjerry.com and I'm wondering what format to put the preview clips in.

I have FinalCutPro, and it exports into .avi, MPEG2, and MPEG4. The .avi files are huge ~20MB for a 45sec clip even at barely acceptable resolution. The MPEG4 clips are the best, but I'm concerned that few people will be able to play them.

Is MPEG4 common enough to use, or is there another solution to convert the files to MPEG1 without making it a huge file?

Thanks for any suggestions!
Michael

Get Media Cleaner Pro and save then as MPEG-1 format otherwise known as mpg.

While MPEG-4 is a nice format it is not popular with the PC crowd and not very accepted. Also mpg seems to be smaller. You can use htaccess to protract them as well unlike Real Player or Windows Media Player formats.
