I got my first sale from a blog post! Can I officially call myself a blogger now? |bananna|

It only took me about three months of consistent neglect.

FYI, the post itself was one of my better - both honest, and a bit insightful... I think. |loony|

And I was getting so close to writing a bunch of spam entries, just to have something out there, but this sale has motivated me to stick with quality. |thumb

Now if only I could get as many sales on my blog posts as I get on my freesites... |badidea|

If I am not mistaken it took you awhile for your first freesite sale before the others came pouring in. So maybe thats right around the corner too :D

You're probably right... but just like everything else, I'm not nearly patient enough sit still for too long. :D

Not only are you a blogger (anybody can be that), but a blogger making money. Congrats!
Honesty may be overrated. Since I made this post the traffic to that blog has dropped from 800-1000/day to about 200. I could take it down, but I'm keeping it as a reminder to myself.

When I say honest I mean honest in my appreciation of the sponsor's content. The blog really was meant for me, and my personal musings about what I enjoy... so I think that makes it easy for me to be both honest and marketing friendly. |thumb

We'll just have to wait and see if I can make more sales before spending that much time and energy becomes a good idea. |loony|

But seriously, congrats! Blogging can be frustrating as hell but everytime I get to the point where I'm about to pack it in and learn to build free sites, something happens to suck me right back in.

If you ever do get into freesites I'll be right there ready to give you any advice my itty bitty amount of experience can offer. I silently studied from the best source I knew before I assembled my quaint little hideaway. ;)

Good luck when you do iMan. Considering what I've seen from your freesites I imagine you may have a better experience at it then me. And blog readers seem to be quite the fickle crowd. :)

So far I'm setting up blogs that aren't really designed to make direct sales, they're more about making a site stickier, but it's good to see that making them directly is possible. :)

I'm not so sure though.... (yeah, I'm a paranoid and insecure SOB :D )
Coming up with the text for a site is the one thing I see as a necessary evil... it's gotta be there for SE's and stuff, but it takes me a LOT of time to get anything out that I think is decent enough.... without just copying something else.
And blogs are all about text, right! |shocking|

(I can't wait until I open my own link list and (hopefully) get submissions from you people who actually know what the hell ye're doin' :-)))
