password protecting affiliate section while using ccbill?

I want to protect my affiliates section of my site from surfers. Currently using ccbill to manage everything. Is there any free scripts that will let affiliates sign up with a username, password, and a custom field (ccbill affiliate number). I'd like to double check to see if they actually have an account with us before accepting them.

thanks

just watermark al the content and hope someone comes and downloads it and posts it all over, and you will die rich and not owe an affiliate 50% :D no one bitching about traffic leaks, not BW on fhgs etc its a goldmine :) assuming the content is good.

lol, i guess there's an idea! I'm just trying to stop the freeloader surfer (yah the one that never buys memberships, like me) from getting all of it in 1 swoop. going to atleast make it a lil challenging!

if you still want to do it and sacrifice the money, then i would hit up creampiecathy or a few others, that have that, they might have a few ideas or a cheap script, i know they use it and amateurnetcash (amateurcreampie) they have it too, and a few others i cant think of right now :D

but i still say that the surfer who goes though all that trouble, might not buy a membership, but his group members IM & email friend do :D and his traffic, even tho he doesnt get credit for it, converts like crack in the projects lol :D these guys are the porn gurus types to their friends and have the biggest collection etc and recomend to there less savy surfer friends what is good :) those surfers buy :D trust me it works :D

ack! i need more coffee lol, you can also do like a few others and have the affiliate email you first and then send them to a hidden page....but then you lose the guy up at 5am who needs the content right ehn, but its up to you :)

http://russcom.net/ I've used their Login php file for affiliate areas. It is just a simple program, not to hard to set up, and its free. You just click on the link in the left side of the page to download it. :D

why not use .htaccess. after all, it's free ;) when you receive a ccbill signup, check each affiliate's info - which should include a website url - and then create a un/pw for them and send it to them.

CCBill allows you to customize your affilate sign up form. Of which they give you the entire html. You could always hire someone from india to look over the code and figure out how to retreave the post back, enter it into your database and then redirect the user to your content. Although I think this would be really hard to do as their sign up is a post to a differant cgi page, hosted by them. You could always ask them if they could provide you with a way of doing the post back like they do with the paying customer, but good luck on that. I would think they would only work with someone who is dropping them some big $$ and trust.

Or if it was me I would do it the easy way. The FREE WAY. CCBill allows you to set up your program so that your affils can get the code for your banners once they log on to the affil section of ccbill. In that section of the affiliate set up, you have an option of puting in your own url for where your banners are hosted (banner farm), or you can have ccbill host them (not sure of this option as I host my own). But I just ran a test on this, in that section down at the bottom they have an area where you can put in a url for your banner farm. This is just a simple url, any page can go in there. I would put up a directory with a page/site that has all my content that is downloadable for the WM. Make it nice so they can preview what they are going to DL. Let CCBill manage their accounts. You also have an option of setting up a custom sign up form for them, or a custom email (I would use both) set it up with instructions, explaining to the WM that in order to get the URL for the content they must log on ccbill an go to get your banners. In that area they will see the link to your content area.

Its not a full on user management system, but it does a few things for a newly started program of which I presume yours is being you don't have the $500 to spend on that other software. Which is cool everyone needs to start someplace. So this way is FREE!! Cost you nothing. But it also allows you to not have to deal with the headache of managing your affils accounts. CCBill will have a much better system, maintained and protected a lot better when what you can manage or provide. And it helps to weed out the badguys. Not all of them but with this many loops to go into, most will lose the hardon by the time they are done and just give up. If your sites are really good and the content is good then the pro's know they will have a good chance of selling it.
I have had issues with signing up with sponsers. For me when I am signing up, I don't really care if I have to jump over 1 or 2 barrels to get the content. What I don't like is signing up and getting an email saying they will review my account and get back to me. FUCK OFF. I move on. If they get back to me with in 24 hours. MAYBE if I'm in the mood I will go look over their content and build something. But most of the time I want the content that night or day. Hope this helps.

the ccbill part of the signup would be active immediately as could the banners be. only the content would need a un/pw activation.

One last thing. Keep in mind they are going to go into ccbill the first time they sign up anyway. One to make sure the account is working and nothing screwed up and two (over time) to check their stats for your program. It is no big deal for them to go get the link in the banner section, of which they can bookmark for when they just want to build. You can use the ccbill program to email all your afils of updates to the content also which is another plus as you don't need to maintain their emails or a news letter.
