Cam sites?
 

Hi all,

How do you make your free sites if you are upselling a cam site? Obvioulsy the cam stills wouldnt make any link lists with the poor quality etc. Would you use your own content and just upsell the cam, or just randomly advertise the cam sites on your free sites? Just wondering how you free site dudes work the cam angle, I hear so many good stories about cam conversions and just wondering how to use them on my free sites )

Yes, use your own content building free sites. Build an amateur site (or any niche) saying want to see more amateur check this out they are live from home on their cam...or something like that.

I know some sites that have taken pics with a real camera during a cam show - or movie clips from the cam show would work as well.

I haven't done free sites with webcams yet. However, I promote iFriends and I use their HD content a lot to build profile pages and blog entries. It comes with high enough definition to build a nice free site, I think. The pictures are taken during the shows which gives it a realistic webcam look. If your free site is about webcam, approvers should understand that it has to look like a webcam girl not a model posing for the camera...

I'm actually wondering seriously about entering the free site side of the business. I get the feeling that I'll get better results writing more blog posts..

I have made FS with cam stills. Some sites take them some don't. But you have to make sure the quality of the still is good which is the hard part. If you look around on the site you can pretty much find the top hosts are "pros" meaning they care about their work and thus make sure the images are above average. Some cams are good enough to take really good images but you won't find many images on the cam sites are the hosts are all using a 320x240 size. You can double it but it will look grainy. In my experiance I think the users that signed up did so because the cam images I used were from the link I sent them to. They did not click on an image expecting to see a hosts profile who did not appear on the website. I also made sites from purchased content and to be honest have seen more traffic with the cam stills. Once again I can't say 100% as to why only thinking the host who was on the FS was working the site and I have seen sign ups through that hosts profile. I have not built in a couple of months 1) cause I'm getting lazy and 2) when I have time I don't want to spend it building a FS. But when I do it again I will be doing it the same way. a few sites with purchased (which will help getting listed on the larger LL) and a few sites with cam stills.
