Problem With Spammer

Seems as if some fucking spammer bastard has decided to send spams out spoofing my email address. I have probably gotten well over 100 delivery failures notices, some spam blockers saying they have blocked my email address, ect. Is there anything I can do? I talked to my isp and all they told me is to change my email password, did that, and didnt seem to help. So is there anything I can or am I just fucked?

There is essentially nothing you can do if they are using your address as the return address....

..and by rights if you got 100, you shouldnt really complain... As the owners of many domains, this happens to us regularly and often amounts to 10's of 1000s of emails..

Any spam blocker that blocks based on 'spoofed addresses' is a pile of shit and probably not worth worrying about......

Make a filter, get Mailwasher, and go back to work :)

Had hundreds this morning so just added a rule to my mail program so that I no longer will see them.

Gazillions today...more than the normal shitloads (and yes gazillions and shitloads ARE technical terms :P)

Of course I only saw them cos I had to log in to the account at my spam blocker to authorise a legitimate email that I knew was coming thru. ;)

Sadly I've been getting them for years, which is one of the reasons I actually signed up for a service to deal with the crap...a sad indictment, true, but in lieu of a real solution that will actually stop the problem, I chose the 'protect myself' option.
