How do I fix ICQ?
 

This is day two for me of not being able to stay logged onto ICQ
Anyone know of a cure or what is going on

What version are you using? I've read about this issue on other forums too but I had not problems with icq in the past 2 days.

Mine seems to log itself off after I send & receive a couple of messages - FUCKING FREE SOFTWARE |angry|

I made the switch to Miranda (multi IM protocol) a couple years ago. While I still get booted when the ICQ servers are fucked up, the IM proggie itself is very stable and much lighter on system resources.

No problems with the ICQ servers the past couple days :)

Yes, I'm also voting for miranda... there's also a cool plugin you can add to it's folder in 30 seconds and it'll import all your icq contacts without problem ;).

Thanks Alessandro you motivated me to try another version and that seemed to do the trick.
I was using ICQ Pro
I'm now using ICQ Lite (ICQ 5.1)
the change was a piece of cake didn't loose anything

Cocksuckers have to know people are having problems, a headsup would have been nice

The Bitch has that on her machine & DAMN! Think they could spam it up a bit more? I turned off everything that I could find, but it still seems really annoying.

Of course, you'd think that regardless of the version, each would work based on them probably using the same servers |crazy|
