Good Tuesday Morning (Shopping Day For Thanksgiving)

Good Morning
Today is the day we have to go shopping or Thanksgiving. Turkey was ordered a few weeks ago but I have to pick it up today and get the rest of the stuff that goes with it. Mmmm...Turkey, Pumpkin Pie, Stuffing, Crandberries...Mmmmm. We kind of got screwed this year though. Since we didn't come up with a time early enough, and our kids have to go to 3 other places, we decided to do it at 1 PM. I wonder what time I have to get up for a 34 pound Turkey. :)

Other than that, it's work as usual. :)

Happy Tuesday everyone

hey Jim it's getting to be that time, are you gonna post links so that we can all help out with your X-Mas charity this year? don't be hogging all the glory again this year :D and hit us up early before we realize that christmas is f-in' expensive!

and for those missing out on the x-mas humor Jim and his family do great things every christmas but he feels bad about asking for our hard earned money so PM him and tell him that we are all glad to do it

Morning,

Time to get these few things that have been on my 2do list for way to long off of there.
It's getting freaking cold outside, I guess I can put my swimsuit away.

Have a nice day all.

Cleo 2006-11-21 08:45 AM

Damn it's cold here this morning, down in the fifties, and it's almost time to kill things and eat their flesh day.

Just a day of errands and work planed after doing the gym.

We're currently at 46 here with a hopeful high of 61.. I went and got a scarf and gloves yesterday cause i am freezing even with a jacket on.
I have to do some baking and cooking to get ready for tomorrow and am looking forward to hanging out by the oven staying warm, and that's about it for me today.

Have a good day all!

Cleo 2006-11-21 09:03 AM

Warmest things that I own is a denim jacket and a few long sleeve tops.

Actually it's kind of funny seeing the odd things people find to put on down here trying to dress warm.

I bet the nude beach is nice and quiet today.

Good Morning from Nova Scotia. :)

In the Halifax area here visiting my parents for 2-3 weeks. My father had an operation so I decided to come down and help out around the house with errands and the usual things people need help with when they'll be layed up for a while. Down side is I'm on dialup (they cannot get highspeed here). I will be heading to my friend's house tonight to use highspeed internet thankfully.

If anyone needs me, too bad. LOL Just kidding, I will be online most days though limited so I can be reached via ICQ or a PM here.

good morning everyone |waves|

well this morning started out real well...if you want to see how STUPID people are, sit outside a school when they're dropping the kids off. I can't believe some of the bonehead things that go on, it's a wonder no one gets hurt |angry|

on that note, I think I'll go spend some money today, work some aggression off with the cc :D

have a great one!
:)

Morning!!

for some reason the coffee isn't quite as good as it usually is. BLAH.

I need to think of something really yummy to bring to our friend's house on Thursday because normally we don't celebrate t'giving but since she's moved into a new home, i'm considering this a "house warming" and not that T-thing. I'm thinking one of those edible bouquets.

weird being in the low 40's right now but at 12n it will be 78-80. and still no rain in the forcast (rainy season in vegas is from mid nov to feb)

Whatever you do today..have a good one and be safe.. some crazy ass people out there. |huh

lorsha 2006-11-21 09:35 AM

Shopping for sure. On this day is usually my only $300.00 + shopping day of the year for groceries. |shocking|

Have a great day! |bananna|

Good Tuesday Radio Show Day Peoples |waves|

Sabres beat the shit out of Tampa Bay last night 7-2 - they were down 1-0 after the 1st period & then scored all 7 in the 2nd - it was actually getting silly :D

Radio Show tonight, lots & lots of work to do today (I have no idea why I am so busy, but I am)

Have a peachy day |thumb

Good Morning All :)

Good morning everyone

I think it's a beautiful day, it's -2c but with a bit of sun and no wind or rain for once. Aren't you people in the 50's a bit warm? |couch|

Ramster: Are you taking orders for fresh lobster? I'll bet that you can deliver faster than fedex :-D

Doc- those edible bouquets make a great hostess gift, I've given 3 out in the past couple of months. http://www.ediblearrangements.com

Jim- how big of an oven does one need for a 34lb turkey?

MrYum 2006-11-21 10:15 AM

Good morning everyone!

Yep, chilly here this morning too. Have gotten spoiled living in this neck of the woods...now, when it gets below 60...it's freakin cold...brrrr

Have a great day all |thumb

Good morning world |waves|

Nice brisk 55 fahreneit this morning when I walked outside. I think we're supposed to have one more day like today and then it'll be warming up 15 degrees for the weekend.

So, is anyone making either: a Turducken or a Deep-Fried Turkey?

The first one is both a funny name and also the reason other people hate America. :D

The second one uses hot oil over an open flame and can be unexpected fun...

Wow I wonder what happens when one tries to cook tofu goat in one of those?

sue-fl 2006-11-21 12:33 PM

Morning!

Brrr..is the word for today! Only expected to reach upper 50's for a high! Great day for a long dog walk though, my dogs are very happy it's cold!

Well we are having Thanksgiving dinner on Friday here |crazy| With my husband being a chef he always has to work on holidays. Actually it worked out good though. My two oldest kids get to spend Thanksgiving with their boy/girlfriends parents then get to eat again on Friday! That way no one is left out without the kids for the Holidays.

Have a great Tuesday all!

My son in ATL informed me that he was having Turducken for t'giving. I was impressed because I KNOW his wife cannot cook but he can. Then he informed me he'd ordered it from some company in LoooSeeAnna that specialized in them, cajun style. I then reminded him that being 1/4 Lakota & Apache -- he really needed to spend his day hanging from a large pole by porcupine quills until he finds his spirit guide.. of course spending a day with his wife should be pittance enough. |jester|

hmmm i think i have major issues with the DIL.
