BBW Marketing, I need some advice

First off, I'm not 100% behind the name but we are married to it at this point. Do you think it is bad or good?

Do you think it would sell better as a BBW site or a really fat ass site? What does it look like to you now. My opinion is to go BBW / Fat Chicks becasue there is a lack of those types of sites to promote in that genre, especially ones with good video tours, content, and frequent updates.

Do you think the marketing text is better as fatass or BBW? Do you think we should move some of the fatter girls from the last couple pages forward?

Also, do you think we should remove the food from the trailers?

I am asking becasue I don't have a complete understanding of the niche (but I know there are a lot of people here that know it well) and we can still make changes to this site. I know that there is the public interest out there for this type of content because my BBW category is the 2nd most visited category on my linklist.

Please give me your input.

Lastly, I'm not just posting this becasue I am trying to spam a new site. I really want opinions so I can take what I learn and apply it to give webmasters the best converting site possible. I'm all ears. Don't be afraid to brutalize it.

I think you are mixing two niches into one. Are you promoting big asses or bbw? I see both, and there is a difference.

And keep the food aspect out of it. If you are going to promote it as bbw promote them as beautiful, hot women. You will not go far promoting bbw in any type of degrading manner. Men (women) who like bbw don't seem to care for that approach.

Your text should reflect stuff about them being voluptous (probably misspelled, fuck it, it is early) goddesses, not a derogatory word like 'fat'.

First off you’re about 50/50 on the tour as far as BBW goes. There seems to be a trend of a lack of belly or what I call BBW's in denial and is a real turn off for the BBW lover. Get lots of belly shots on that tour and it will do much better. As far food goes I am in total agreement with Greenguy no food.

We are currently shooting a REAL BBW site now, where there is no question about what they are. We have 10 scenes done now. Next time...no food...more bellies.

Why do people get into niches they don't understand?

I see some think chicks with big butts in the header. Like MML said, these aren't BBW's ;) The way the tour looks right now, it seems to me to lean towards the big ass more than BBW. It's not a bad niche, just different.

If you go with the BBW, then I agree, don't degrade them. On which note, I have to wonder whether such a site will go well with the OC Cash portfolio which isn't exactly celebrating women in this sense. You might actually do better with another big ass site there. Also, on the same note, the title itself is degrading and I'm not sure it will work well with BBW, again.

Also, these girls are all black, right? More like a micro-niche of either black BBW or black big ass.

That is what I have always said - the belly makes the BBW. It is the one body bit we have that other women don't have. As I said on the other board, I would push plumper traffic there but not BBW traffic at the moment.

Also, the no food thing is vital if you want to actually appeal to real BBW fans who are the ones that will rebill anyway.

I really do think that it is hard for somebody that doesn't see the attraction to a body type to sell that type to the guys that do. Not that it is impossible but just hard.

The big ass stuff is its own niche..I always think of 'I like big butts' when I see them where they talk about big butts with an itty bitty waist..great look but not a BBW and the guys that want that aren't going to want real fat chicks.

Well, I don't understand being gay...I mean it fine if you are, but I would have been a fool to not develop gay traffic. My revenue on my linklist went up 30% when I niched out my gay.

Here is something I really don't understand...how come with everything else it is perfect accceptable to use degrading terms like "bitches", "sluts", ect...but with BBW you have to tip-toe around the fact that they are in fact "fat"?

I agree with most of what has been said here. This isn't really BBW as much as it is a really big ass site. There is a lot of crossover I suppose.

This is just from my observations about what people that search for bbw say about it.
I've never heard them refer that they are looking for "fat" women. The terms I've heard them use are large, bbw, big gals, women with meat on their bones, big women, etc. (They are generally not attracted to the thin or mid sized ladies.) But, I have never personally heard any of them use the word "fat".

One other reason would be social implications. Right now in the United States anyways, there are a lot of people that are overweight. There is a lot in the news about obesity. There are constant social pressures from the media and government for people to lose weight and eat healthier. The last thing an overweight person or a person that is attracted to them want when they go to look for some porn featuring these (fat) large women is more brow beating. They simply want to enjoy looking at what they like and not have it put into a negative light.

"Acceptable" to you is not necessarily 'Acceptable' to others.

A completely different surfer segment. Plenty of surfers looking for bitches and sluts, where a BBW fan loves how they look, like another surfer see's the beauty in a centerfold. Sure there are surfers looking for "Fat Ass Bitches", but those are not a true BBW fans, and a much smaller section of the BBW market.

I have never found any of those terms acceptable and I find them very offensive and degrading. It is a sad state of society when those are considered acceptable for just enjoying your sexuality.

agreed on the no food thing. We started BigBlowjobChicks.com about a year ago and focused alot on big hungry fat girls and the initial response was not good. After a few months we took all that shit off the tour and now its by far our most popular and successful site. BBW niche is a good niche to get into indeed.

i'm not sure it is so much what is acceptable and what isn't. its a matter of what converts, and bbw lovers dont want to see hamburgers on the tours. they want to see big bellies and round asses.

I’ve actually learned a good bit from this thread. I know there is a lot of people on this board that think I’m arrogant or whatever, but I’ve been doing this for nearly 10 years and it’s never too late to learn something.

I’ve decided to leave this site pretty much as is (aside from a little shuffling and re-texting) and we aren’t going to push it toward the straight up BBW crowd. It is converting really well as it is, so if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it! LOL

That said, moving forward, we are in the process of shooting a real BBW site and I’ve taken everything into account (bellies, no foot, verbiage, ect). It won’t be done till next year, but hopefully you will see some of your suggestions at work.
