A Thief Among Us?
 

A member of the board brought to my attention that a freesite had been stolen of mine. Which I am wondering how the hell he knew it had been stolen... I had put it up here for review so I am guessing that is where they got it from. I traced their who-is and called the number listed. The guy had been dead for over a year (I felt like a heel). I traced the DNS to some guy in Florida whom I have left a message for. I have also notified the sponsor. Here is my site:

It is weird. The nameservers are pointed to netsuperb.net which the email addresses also run off of. I even called the poor widow back to see if she recognized the Florida guys name (Justin Keating) which she didn't. My sponsor rep. can't seem to track the NATS affiliate code to anyone either. Maybe someone is just playing games with me for some reason |huh The weird "hello boys" on the root doesn't mean anything to me? It is all rather bizarre...

Thought initially it may be a newbie or someone trying to learn how to build, maybe not gaining or trying to submit it. But after checking UW's google link i dont know what their doing. Maybe just stealing pages for google reasons or just spam, i dont know.

No, it's more like he stole a bunch of pages and either he took them down himself, or his host was obliged to. If it was for SE purposes, they wouldn't be 404ing, they'd be redirecting to a live money-making page.

I was just checking the posts from the "member" who informed me and noticed that all of his posts were from 2005 where he was jerking Tommy around about a PA. I suppose I should have checked his profile before... user Makay GG...you might wanna cut this guy lose so that he can regenerate himself into another wacko with nothing better to do.

His sole purpose of posting here was to find out why Tommy didn't list him. He didn't post before and he hasn't posted since. Your logic of "he who smelt it, dealt it" isn't quite enough to ban him anyway. :) I would like to see him post in this thread.
