Highest sales ever!!?
 

I had my highest sales day today. Not only was it my highest - it almost DOUBLED my previous high. Crazy!

Anybody else had similar luck lately?

There has been some minor shakeups on Google and Yahoo in the past 48 hours... you maybe benefitting from that. I am certainly seeing more traffic (although sales aren't ThAT much better!)

Ironically today is the best day I had in a long time as well. (Certainly not double, but noticeably better) And here I thought it was just due to the new LL site I opened and my never ending hard work....

Today hasnt been better than average, but yesterday I had a major upswing :-)

I just noticed that my "month to date" stats are just over 1/2 my totals from December & seeing as it's the 12th, that means things are looking very good :)

For today the few sponsors I checked seem about the same but for the month I'm doing good considereing I haven't built much due to Internext. And as far as google shakin things up, keep shakin baby. I got a PR 7 (if that means anything. LMAO) |bananna|

Remember - for most US colleges - yesterday was the first day back of classes and all of those new computers and credit cards :)

Ah. Though, from what GG states- January is looking pretty good overall.

Jay (or others), do you notice certain spikes in sales during specific periods?

From the stuff I've read...if those sales are college related than they'd drop off in Summer.

I'd sorta think sales for adult sites would be very slow Xmas-March as people try to pay off the credit card bills from the Holidays.

Jay- how does December+January (so far) compare to Dec+January last year?

With the stock markets reaching levels not seen in 2 years- does there seem to be a general uptrend in spending in the Adult sector? Or is it just a fluke?

Yesterday was the highest spike I've seen. That is why I posted. It was very unexpected. I worked for another company as an adult webmaster full time for four years before I went off on my own full time around a year ago. When I got going, I already had a good sense of what to do and not to do, so every month has been better than the last for me.

I need to diversify. I have recently bought some new domains and will be spreading out my business to several - distintly different - categories. But it takes time |sad|

@JanTM Im also thinking about moving into other niches.... I currently stick to lesbians but allready have some ideas in my mind ;)

Whenever I experience a downslide, just as long as traffic hasn't dipped, I look at who I'm using for sponsors. That may be the source of your problem.

Actually traffic has dropped.

Been too lazy to build free sites lately - so that drop I understand and it can easily be fixed :)

But I also lost an important SE ranking. Dropped from top 10 to not even in the top 200.

Sure it is in many cases. Not necessarily the sponsor's fault as many things can factor into this. Overexposed sponsor to your traffic sources, marketing techniques, ect.

I think being diversified is a smart thing. JanTM, I'd be broke if I had to live on the conversions my boob sponsors have been giving me the past few months. With the exception of ************* RealandNatural that did very well in the fall.
