i got this list from another board early last year, could anyone tell me if any of these sites have since stopped updating? Trying to manage my time as best I can and don't want to waste any time submitting to a site that no longer updates.

That list is horribly inaccurate. If you want to determine backlinks, try searching for yourself with the understanding that google normally reports less then 15%, and in the case of some of the sites that you have listed, significantly lower.

These ones I know are still updating.

google changed its display of backlinks earlier last year, at the time that list was compiled thats how they were displayed, its about 10% of the original 10% now.

You could always just submit to all of them and see which one is listing you within a reasonable timeframe. You usually have to do this when you are starting up.

Id say based on that list that you would be better off using this resource http://www.greenguysboard.com/resour...fic/index.html
to find link lists to submit to - that list is very outdated and never was very accurate to begin with
The backlinks are definitely way out of whack - try using Yahoo to see backlinks if you want a more accurate representation :)

only problem with yahoo is it includes internal links as well.

Well - I believe Googles sample they show with the link command still shows internal links as well - unfortunately Googles link comand shows less than 5% of all backlinks
