Hey I know what you mean, but dont bitch, not even all sponsors will pay you for checks. I know I used to get check sign ups all the time, but rarely see them anymore.

Got PayPal? I'll take those lousy $30 off your hands as a favor (and any other $15 sales your sponsor burdens you with).

But, I understand where you're coming from, I had a couple pay me like 10 bucks each for check signup. I figure it all adds up tho. ;)

Not complaining about making sales, just the cheap, tight-wad, no credit, check writing ass holes and they way the buy porn...|jester|

I still can't believe people pay for porn. |crazy| There's so much good free porn to be found. I guess most are internet newbs that haven't figured out where the free stuff is, but that's OK as long as someone is buying :D

Licker, I know you're ranting and (hopefully) at least half joking, but I wouldn't think of my surfers as cheap assholes. I think of them as the beautiful people who enable me to work from home so I don't have to commute 30 miles to my old job working for a real cheap asshole.

It's a karma thing, you are what you eat etc. etc. (or something like that). :D

Why do you get less for a check than a CC transaction? I've never really noticed.

I am sure there are one or two surfers with bad credit. Maybe both of them liked your site.

i never complain about sales, i have no reason for that, its more i feel sometimes pitty for some sponsors when they have to pay me 35 bucks for a what...1.95 or 3.95 sale and the sale wont end in a full membership after 3 days...but i got my money:D

Tongue-in-cheek rant but credit card payments would have meant $70.00 |angry| instead of $30.00...but no, I will not return the money. At least it will buy me a carton of coffin nails, or fags to our English friends :D

I dunno |huh Just what the sponsor pays out for an online check transaction. Costs them more? I don't know how |confused|

That is the one thing that keeps me going when sales are down. :D

I know that when I used to make a lot of check/ach sales with one program the reason they gave me for the lesser payout was the amount of cancels - although they also deducted the cancels from my payout - needless to say they are no longer a sponsor I use :)

The reason for check sales paying less is there's no chance of a rebill...which is where the sponsor hopes to make up the difference (plus), between what the surfer paid and what you got paid. At least that's how it was explained to me in a land long ago and far away.

You see, now that's a good and sensible answer. That makes sense to me. All these years later and I'm still learning that there's a lot more to learn.

Actually - most check/ach sales could be set up to rebill - the same way fitness clubs etc do it - and some sponsors did do it(at least one that I was dealing with above LOL) - but the rate of cancels was way too high
