Ways to get traffic

Lets brainstorm a minute and share ideas on howto increase traffic to a website.
I'll start with a few ideas.

- Tradescript with toplist
- Trade a lot, hardlinks
- Submit your site to linkdumps
- Create doorways which redirects to your site
- Build SEO pages on your site
- Post in adult forums

Be careful with this one unless you are absolutely certain you know what you are doing. It can seriously piss off the search engines and loose you more traffic than you gain.

Hmm. Why not build freesites or galleries promoting your link list as a sponsor. I wouldn't waste my time with most of your ideas actually, other than se optimizing. Just build actual content, directed to your sites.

Search around a little bit and stay away from spammy or deceptive type stuff.

Don't know about galleries, but if you use this idea with free sites, it will work, but do not expect a lot of traffic. I usually add a link to whichever link trade type site needs it the most when I create free sites, and only about 1% click through to the site, even when I put it under my menu like this:
Gallery 1
Gallery 2
My other FREE (niche) website

"Adult Webmasters Help Solve Homeless Crisis"
Thousands of America's homeless are finding gainful employment as adult webmasters nationwide begin hiring them to stand at busy intersections wearing sandwich board signs promoting their website addresses.

I used to use leaflet drops at suitable events (such as The Festival Of Erotica in London).

Another way may be to buy some traffic. I have not tried promoting my site as a sponsor on freesites, but have linked back from freesites. It adds up when you have enough sites like that. I like the sign on the corner idea :)

I can't tell you any secrets that took me about 7 years to develope but I can tell you one thing that I have learned.

Find yourself a niche. Make an original free site(like a blog, custom free site, link list, message board). Hand feed your niche with original text, interviews with models, people behind the scenes, find out where the whos who of the niche you are following are going, really get into your niche.... this will be the starting point of a great foundation for pure niche traffic.
